Xia Junshan's Moment of Realization
After Wang Yue brought his parents over, the two old men took over picking up Xia Huanhuan and Chao Chao. Looking after all four children was a breeze for them.
The first time Wang Yue went with Old Master to pick up Xia Chao Chao, Chao Chao wasn't happy about it. But before long, Old Master had charmed him so thoroughly that he didn't want to go home.
One time, when Xia Junshan went to Wang Yue's house to bring the children home, he saw the four grandparents and four children getting along harmoniously. Suddenly, he felt he might have made a mistake.
Mother Xia was alone at home. Surely she missed her son and grandchildren; what had happened back then had just left her with a knot in her heart. But as her son, should he really expect his mother to be the one to swallow her pride?
Xia Junshan decided to go back to his hometown and bring his mother over. He knew that Nan Li and his mother-in-law had been hoping he would bring her over for a long time. He just hadn't seen things clearly back then.
But Xia Junshan wasn't like Wang Yue. He spent another two days preparing before asking Nan Li to take time off to look after Mother Nan, then hurried off to his hometown.
What he didn't know was that because he'd put it off for two days, an inspection from higher-ups happened to fall on the day Nan Li took off. Not wanting to impose on Wang Yue and his wife again, Nan Li called Nan Jianlong to ask him to help keep an eye on Mother Nan. She didn't trust the caregiver anymore, either.
That one phone call ruined the harmonious family Nan Jianlong
