Background

Sasuke lived alone in the decaying Uchiha Clan Compound after the deaths of his family. He initially rejected friendship, considering weaker people a burden, and focused on becoming stronger. 9

His hatred centered on his elder brother, Itachi Uchiha, whom Sasuke believed had murdered their parents and friends to test his own power. When Wu Yu’s Mysterious Clones gave him an opportunity to meet facsimiles of Fugaku and Mikoto again, Sasuke openly vowed to kill Itachi without sacrificing his friends to gain power. 65 66

Sasuke eventually learned that the Uchiha Clan had planned a coup and that his parents had attempted peaceful dialogue with village leadership before the massacre. The revelations forced him to reconsider both his clan’s history and his desire for revenge. 249 264

His drive to surpass Itachi makes him relentlessly competitive and willing to endure dangerous training, including repeated Tsukuyomi exposure, mental-resonance experiments, and Slug Sage modification. 159 192 296 However, he refuses Itachi’s implied path of killing a friend for power and gradually becomes more deliberate in confronting the truth behind the Uchiha massacre. 66 264
