A piercing whistle suddenly rang through the air. A powerful gravitational force yanked Obito's body straight into the sky.
But since Obito's head was still inside the twisted spatial vortex, the force only pulled out the parts of his body below the neck.
Squelch!
A torrent of red liquid gushed from the neck of Obito's headless torso, shooting skyward like a fountain of blood.
Obito's head, meanwhile, was crushed into a lump of flesh by the spiraling spatial vortex before vanishing into Kamui Space.
Just then, several heavy thuds sounded as bodies struck the ground, leaving cracked craters in the earth and sending rings of dust into the air.
Two more figures in black cloaks with red clouds drifted down from the sky. One was an orange-haired young man, the other a young woman.
The orange-haired young man was carrying Obito's headless corpse, blood still seeping from it.
"This guy..."
"Looks like he's really dead?"
"Good. That means I don't have to worry about any unexpected variables in my plan..."
After landing, Deva Path Pain casually tossed Obito's body aside, as if throwing away a piece of trash after stepping outside.
The young woman beat her two enormous paper wings as she circled above Pain. Against the blood-red setting sun, she looked like an angel suffering in torment.
"Pain?"
"Who would've thought you'd come to me of your own accord before I had a chance to find you..."
Surrounded by the Six Paths of Pain and Konan, Souya showed no sign of panic. Instead, he looked completely at ease.
"Oh?"
"One-Tail, your strength is indeed impressive, but before the power of a god, you'll realize that the assets you're so proud of will vanish like bubbles..."
