Luke had no intention of paying much attention to Dumbledore's words, whether they had been deliberate or not.

Some things could not be explained through words alone.

If there was an opportunity to prove yourself to others, then do it instead of merely talking about it.

"Why don't you go in and take a look yourself?"

Dumbledore merely shook his head. "Hogwarts is a magical place. The headmaster is neither omniscient nor omnipotent here. For an old man, controlling one's curiosity is also the key to a long life."

"I don't know either. There's a passage leading downward, and a door at the end. I didn't go in." Luke was equally frank. He did not think Dumbledore had lied when answering his question. He
