"Professor Quirrell didn't look very energetic."
After a Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Quirrell quickly vanished from everyone's sight. As Harry packed up the books on his desk, he spoke to Ron.
There were no books on Ron's desk at all, so he merely watched Harry pack up.
"Isn't he always like that? I heard he's pretty good when teaching Slytherin. Could he actually be Slytherin's Head of House?"
Ron mocked him mercilessly, then glanced at Harry. "Why do you even put books on your desk? We never use them in class anyway."
"And Harry, what notes are you taking? Professor Quirrell's adventure stories?"
Seamus spun around on his stool and said teasingly, "I looked around. Out of all of us, only you and Hermione were taking notes."
Harry could hear the disrespect for Professor Quirrell in their words.
But he had nothing to argue back with. After all, Professor Quirrell really wasn't a likable professor.
Setting aside everything else, the fact that he was clearly different when teaching Slytherin showed his prejudice toward students.
So there was no reason to expect the students to respect him equally, either.
But if Harry remembered correctly, Professor Quirrell had graduated from Ravenclaw. Why was he now favoring Slytherin?
"I just think this subject is important. Maybe some of what the professor says will turn out to be useful."
Harry explained himself. Feeling different from his friends inevitably made him a little uneasy, so he could only hurry to explain.
"This class is important," Ron nodded seriously. "But there's another class that's even more important!"
Having finally finished packing up, Harry asked in confusion, "What class?"
He thought about Ron's usual behavior. "Transfiguration?"
