Arc 25The Return to Grindelwald

Luke maneuvered the international forces and Dumbledore toward a confrontation with Grindelwald, then stepped in when Grindelwald’s renewed power overwhelmed the battlefield. After retreating into the past and witnessing decades of history, Luke returned with overwhelming strength and defeated Grindelwald, ushering in a new era.

  • Luke secured the written agreement among the representatives as allied Aurors gathered to confront Grindelwald’s Followers.
  • Dumbledore agreed to help Luke lure Grindelwald into battle, despite McGonagall’s criticism of his past leadership and choices.
  • Grindelwald attacked the allied Aurors, routed them, and turned toward the Trippcard Family while Luke organized his allies and sent Dumbledore to America.
  • Grindelwald destroyed the Trippcard Family’s defenses, but Dumbledore arrived and fought him above the manor as Luke watched.
  • Luke shielded Dumbledore from Grindelwald’s Fiendfyre and took over the duel, but withdrew after Grindelwald wounded him and resisted his poison.
  • Luke traveled through time to 1336, became Hogwarts’s gamekeeper, and witnessed events across the centuries, including Harry Potter’s survival and the start of the story in 1991.
  • After Grindelwald renewed himself with the Fountain of Youth, Luke returned to face him, stripped away his emotions, and overwhelmed his Fiendfyre with a storm of clouds and lightning.
  • Luke’s storm swept Grindelwald away, and Dumbledore declared that a new era had begun.
