Lan Mu felt an itch in his heart. He badly wanted to know just how far the Sabi people's immense imagination could go.
But when he asked Reinhardt, he learned that fantasy items had no fixed prices.
It only depended on how much imagination was expended; the more was invested, the longer the fantasy item would last. If it was an utterly Defy Heaven item, then one unit of imagination produced one unit of power. Exactly how much could be achieved could only be estimated.
"Fantasy Right Hand... maybe I should just attach this prosthetic to myself..."
Lan Mu quietly glanced at Reinhardt's prosthetic hand, entertaining the thought of claiming it for himself.
"Wait..."
Ever cautious by habit, Lan Mu suddenly thought of another issue.
Creation, DIY characteristics—wasn't that somewhat like the angelic divinity from back then?
Long ago, when Lan Mu had transformed into an angel and created items, he had discovered that he was not truly creating something from nothing. Rather, by consuming the Power of Faith, he had drawn upon a kind of Unmanifested Matter and brought things into existence.
He had always thought that Unmanifested Matter was information, but now that he considered it, perhaps it was imagination.
Something that vaguely existed, yet seemed not to truly exist.
In other words, borrowing the relationship between information and the Root Algorithm, the Power of Faith was actually a form of authority—or rather, currency. It allowed Lan Mu to construct imagination, define it through information, and manifest it as physical objects.
But that was far too roundabout.
Perhaps faith itself was a product of highly concentrated imagination, while imagination was something capable of "touching" information.
Then the angel's ability was one form of the Root Algorithm, using imagination as its computational platform.
The price was simply too steep.
