Birth of Living Beings

Lan Mu sank into prolonged contemplation.

His thoughts seemed to drift back to the beginning of everything.

As Original Sin, his experiences had destined him to know, think, and perceive differently from others.

Lan Mu had underestimated his own comprehension. Though he had never studied any classics of the Dao or seriously sought enlightenment,

he was far from ignorant.

And even less of a fool.

Lan Mu did not possess countless profound and mysterious Daoist methods, but his mind contained vast scientific knowledge. After all, science was what he had encountered and remembered most.

Science was also the Dao—the best means of seeking the Dao after the Great Dao had faded from view.

Quantum mechanics actually lay between idealism and materialism.

Its obscurity and strangeness came from the fact that quantum mechanics was neither idealistic nor materialistic. Either extreme was too absolute.

Mind and matter were one, at the center of the Great Dao!

After transforming into the Quantum Observer, Lan Mu had gained a deeper understanding of the quantum world.

Combined with his current state of enlightenment, it finally made him realize something.

The first mirror of all things.

Before life appeared, before anything capable of observation or thought existed, did the world exist?

The answer was that it both existed and did not exist—a superposition of existence and nonexistence.

Information constructed everything. It encompassed all, containing everything imaginable and unimaginable.

Whatever humans could imagine information to be, information was certainly not limited to what humanity imagined it to be.

Thus, before life was born, all Omniverses, or even greater and broader realms... in short, everything existed in a collective state.

A state of chaos, a superposition in which every possibility existed simultaneously.

That was information's original form. It established existence and nonexistence alike, reality and fantasy in superposition.
