Background / History

Lu Ming is a transmigrator who arrived on the Douluo Continent with Blue Silver Grass, an extremely low innate soul power, and poor natural talent. After offending a powerful figure, he fled to the Extreme North, where he nearly froze to death before being rescued by the Snow Empress. 5

His Late Bloomer System allowed his cultivation speed to increase over time, eliminated bottlenecks, and established an exceptionally solid foundation. The system also enabled him to summon heroes from Honor of Kings as guardians and instructors. 5

Lu Ming founded Jixia Academy in the Extreme North and cultivated in seclusion. By the time of his meeting with the Snow Empress, he had progressed from Rank 1 to the demigod realm, while several of his summoned sages had reached Limit Douluo strength. 5

Appearance

Lu Ming appears to be a young man of about twenty, usually dressed in a simple white robe. He conceals his strength so thoroughly that no obvious Soul Power fluctuations can be detected. 5

  • Black hair, casually tied back with a hairband. 5
  • Sharp eyebrows, bright eyes, high-bridged nose, and a distinctly chiseled jawline. 20
  • Fair complexion and a calm, refined aura likened to that of a scholar. 5 20
  • Often wears a faint smile and carries himself with unhurried confidence. 5 20

Personality

Lu Ming is calm, self-assured, and rarely impressed by power, status, or threats. He reacts to powerful enemies—including Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue, and Tang San—with casual composure rather than caution. 32 46 54 77

He is also calculating and deceptive when it serves Jixia Academy’s interests. While posing as an ordinary, well-connected academy member, he concealed both his position as dean and his knowledge of Qian Renxue’s identity. He deliberately acted greedy and lustful to gain her trust, then arranged for Jing to monitor her. 20 22 46

As an instructor, Lu Ming favors practical challenges over empty ceremony. He tasks Huo Wu with heating a special metal gear to its critical point without melting it, forcing her to develop precise control over her flames. 57

Despite his confidence, Lu Ming expresses loneliness in his invincibility, playing chess alone after Tang San’s defeat. 80

Abilities & Skills

Late Bloomer System

A system that compensates for Lu Ming’s originally poor aptitude and serves as the foundation of his rise.

  • His cultivation speed increases as time passes. 5
  • He faces no cultivation bottlenecks. 5
  • It gives him an exceptionally solid cultivation foundation. 5
  • It can reward him for altering Qian Renxue’s fate; one such reward included the hero Lan’s full skill set and maximum proficiency, as well as the basic Tower of Sun. 65 66

Hero Summoning

Lu Ming can summon heroes from his past life’s game, Honor of Kings, and bring them to the Douluo Continent as Jixia Academy personnel. 5

  • Summoned heroes act as his guardians and instructors. 5
  • Old Master, Mozi, and Zhuang Zhou guard Jixia Academy’s depths as Limit Douluos. 5
  • Later summons such as Li Bai, Kai, and Hua Mulan are at least Soul Douluo or Titled Douluo level. 5
  • His summons grow stronger alongside his own increasing power. 5

Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul

Lu Ming’s Martial Soul is Blue Silver Grass, originally regarded as a trash Martial Soul. 5

  • It evolved golden patterns and an aura of vitality and all-encompassing power. 5
  • It manifested vines capable of effortlessly dispersing the Snow Empress’s Emperor Sword, Ice Extreme Unrivaled. 5
  • Lu Ming defeated the Snow Empress in one move. 5

Physical and Divine-Level Power

Lu Ming possesses strength far beyond conventional Soul Masters and even divine opponents.

  • Stopped Tang San’s Sea God’s Trident, wielded with 108,000 jin of force, using only his index and middle fingers. 77
  • Repelled Tang San with a simple upward push, sending him through more than a dozen trees and into a mountain. 77
  • His standing within Jixia Academy is sufficient for the Snow Empress, Ice Empress, and other powerful members to act on his behalf. 29 33 39

Mechanism Arts and Strategic Development

Lu Ming oversees Jixia Academy’s mechanical development and uses political concessions to secure its expansion.

  • Revealed a hidden underground Iron City beneath Jixia Academy. 46
  • Controls mechanical weapons capable of vaporizing Black Gold Rock that can withstand a Soul Douluo’s full-force attack. 47
  • Required Qian Renxue’s approval for Jixia Academy’s expansion before agreeing to teach her about the mechanical city. 48
  • Declined Qian Renxue’s Imperial Tutor title but accepted resources and requested three hundred craftsmen for Master Luban. 65
