Background / History

Northern Cang Academy is a renowned cultivation academy on the Northern Cang Continent and was counted among the Five Great Academies. It attracts geniuses even from clans and factions with ancient inheritances, offering cultivation resources and opportunities unavailable in ordinary spirit academies. 51

Its admission process begins with quota selection and a final trial in the Northern Cang Realm. Candidates are teleported to Reception Platforms, receive rank marks from a stone stele, and must overcome the realm's hazards to reach Northern Cang Hall. 32 33 After the assessment, accepted students enter the academy through the Bronze Giant Gate and receive Spirit Value rewards based on performance. 51

Despite its reputation, the academy had ranked last in the Spirit Academy Competition for years. Dean Taicang warned that another poor showing could cost it its standing among the Five Great Academies. 147 Its position was further endangered when Dean Tiansheng accused Qing Luo of being the Ancient Undying Being and declared that Northern Cang Academy should no longer retain its Five Great Academies title. 197
