The energy produced by the Mother Box resurrecting Superman caught the attention of Steppenwolf, who had been searching tirelessly. Holding a massive silver axe, he led an army of Parademons charging toward the Mother Box.

The Justice League also knew they were running out of time.

There was no time to go look for Superman now.

Aquaman gripped his trident and rolled his neck. "Looks like Superman can't be counted on."

Batman glanced up at the sky. "He'll come. It's only a matter of time."

"Compared to Superman, I'm more curious about how strong Steppenwolf is," Iron Man said.

During the Battle of New York in Marvel, Stark had always regarded the mastermind behind it as a formidable enemy. He wondered how DC's Steppenwolf compared to the mastermind behind the Battle of New York.

Kamen Rider Decade transformed the white box at his waist into a Long Sword, then ran a hand across it. "I can barely wait."

Lu Changsheng's eyes were like black holes, seeming to possess an irresistible pull. He looked into the distance, past countless obstructions, and saw Steppenwolf himself.

"He's heading our way," Lu Changsheng said.

"Let's take the initiative." Batman's suit gleamed with an obsidian-like luster.

With that, a Bat-plane started up, and everyone headed toward Steppenwolf's lair.

While they were discussing it in the group, they had already encountered Steppenwolf.

The sky was lava-red and blanketed in gray dust. Countless vicious Parademons bared their fangs and claws, and much of the land along the way had been reduced to ruins.

Steppenwolf stood before them, clad head to toe in silver armor and carrying a silver battle axe.

Everyone disembarked from the aircraft as well.

"Hand over the Mother Box," Steppenwolf said.

"Earth is closed. Maybe it's time for you to go home," Iron Man said.

"Looks like you're unwilling." Steppenwolf waved a hand, and countless Parademons behind him swarmed forward in a frenzy.

"They just don't stop." The Flash looked at the sheer number of Parademons, feeling a little uneasy.

"Neither will we." Batman charged straight at them.

The Justice League collided with the Parademon army.

Aquaman's golden trident turned into a shooting star, weaving through the Parademons and sweeping away a huge swath with one slash.

Wonder Woman's blade was incomparably sharp, cutting through all opposition.

Steel Bone stood his ground and unleashed massive firepower.

The Flash raced around the battlefield, the Speed Force coursing through his body as he knocked out one Parademon with every punch.

With the enhancement of his suit, Batman did not even need to use those high-tech weapons. Every blow landed solidly, his strength inferior to no one's. Combined with his years of combat experience, he was like a battlefield harvester.

"We can't fall behind either." Iron Man raised his palm and fired a crimson beam. Nothing could block it, and it instantly cleared out an entire direction. Yet countless Parademons immediately filled the gap.

Just as Iron Man said, Kamen Rider Decade did not fall behind either. He pulled a card from the white box and inserted it into his belt.

"Rider Kick!"

Kamen Rider Decade leaped into the air and instantly blew apart a large group of Parademons.

Lu Changsheng remained where he was. An invisible killing formation seemed to surround him; the moment a Parademon drew near, it turned to ashes.

He had little interest in Steppenwolf. At this level, if Boros were brought here now, he would probably blow him apart in an instant.

Instead, he noticed that a tunnel had appeared on Earth. Aside from Steppenwolf, the invader, it seemed reinforcements had arrived as well.

That did not seem to have happened in the original story.

"Roar!!!"

Carrying his silver battle axe, Steppenwolf charged into the battlefield.

Aquaman bore the brunt of it. Steppenwolf swung his axe fiercely, and Aquaman reacted quickly, raising his trident to block. Yet he was sent flying, tumbling several times before coming to a stop.

Wonder Woman was next.

Wonder Woman first blocked Steppenwolf's axe swing with her shield. Just as she was about to swing her sword, Steppenwolf kicked her away as well.

Seeing this, Batman clenched his fists and faced Steppenwolf.

"You are merely a mortal." Steppenwolf looked utterly disdainful.

"Try me." Batman clenched his fists tightly. Sharp blades flashed from his arms, stained with Parademon blood.

The two clashed.

Steppenwolf had expected Batman to be split in half on the spot, but to his surprise, Batman not only endured the blow, but also grabbed the axe with both hands. In terms of strength, he was no weaker than Steppenwolf.

"What?" Aquaman got to his feet beside them, utterly stunned.

Since when had Batman become this powerful?

"With a mortal body, standing shoulder to shoulder with gods." Wonder Woman blinked.

"Eyes here. Don't lose focus." Iron Man descended from the aerial battlefield and fired a scorching beam from his chest.

Steppenwolf let out a pained howl and was blasted far away, a small section of his waist burned away.

He stared at the scene in disbelief. Mere human technology had actually managed to hurt him.

Steppenwolf got back to his feet and spotted Lu Changsheng nearby.

"Die!"

Steppenwolf leaped forward with a downward chop.

Lu Changsheng raised a hand and gave a light squeeze, crushing Steppenwolf's axe. Then he grabbed him by the neck and hurled him into the distance.

"Bang, bang~"

Steppenwolf coughed up blood and smashed through several mountains in succession before finally stopping.

"He's strong." Aquaman watched in astonishment. Steppenwolf's axe had actually been crushed with one hand.

"Bruce, it seems you found yourself a good helper," Wonder Woman said.

"Yes." Batman did not deny it.

"Look over there." Lu Changsheng turned around.

Several gigantic warships appeared in the sky.

Even more Parademons followed.

And there was a figure in a red cape, standing there like a god among men.

"That's... Superman!" The Flash stopped running and said in delight, "He's here."

Iron Man looked thoughtfully at the Flash beside him. Quicksilver, the Flash...

"Bruce, you were right. He came," Wonder Woman said with a smile.

"Something's wrong." Batman stared intently at Superman in the sky.

The next second, red beams shot from Superman's eyes, attacking indiscriminately.

Aquaman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, and Batman were all blasted away.

Kamen Rider Decade inserted a card and vanished from the battlefield, avoiding the attack.

Jets flared beneath Iron Man's feet as he flew into the sky, shoulder to shoulder with Superman.

When the beams reached Lu Changsheng, they vanished outright, as though swallowed by the void.
