Su Wu twitched his fingertips, and the man crawling along the ground, along with the Wireless Communicator in his hand, were simultaneously sliced into countless pieces.

The surroundings were covered in blood and pulverized human remains.

Su Wu did not spare those pieces of trash another glance. His figure vanished from the spot in an instant.

"An enemy must have gotten in. Stay alert," Fan, the captain, reminded the other team members in a low voice.

"But where is the enemy?" one of the team members asked, his voice trembling.

What brought death and fear was an unknown enemy lurking in the darkness.

One application of Nen ability was En, which could be used to detect enemies within a certain range.

Yet no matter how thoroughly the team searched, they could not find the slightest trace of the enemy.

Just then, a scream rang out from within the group.

"Ah—" The sound of liquid spraying out was accompanied by something falling to the ground.

Warm blood splattered all over the surrounding team members.

Stiff with terror, they turned toward the source of the sound, their flashlight beams converging on that corner.

In the illuminated corner lay their teammate, cut into scattered pieces.

"Where are you?! Come out!" Fan swept his flashlight around, but the area was empty. Aside from his own ragged breathing, there was no other movement.

Cold sweat gradually soaked through everyone's clothes from the inside out.

"Protect yourselves. We're leaving this place now!" Fan said in a low voice, signaling everyone to lighten their steps and flee together.

As they moved cautiously, another scream came from within the group.

The flashlight illuminated the team member's position, revealing him clutching his throat with a pained expression as dark blood continuously streamed through his fingers.

Right before everyone's eyes, his head fell off and rolled all the way to Captain Fan's feet.

The figure in the darkness seemed to be slowly drawing closer. Perhaps only when it stepped beneath that small section with the crack would Fan be able to make out the enemy's appearance by the faint glimmer of light.

Pain suddenly struck, and his vision spun. Yet the first thing he saw was a body instantly sliced into four pieces.

From its clothes, he recognized who it was—it was his own body.

"I really have improved quite a bit lately."

At the end of his memories, he heard a young voice tinged with pleasure.

And those eyes—even in the faint light, they remained an exceptionally deep, pure blue, as though they were gleaming.

"Alright, all the trash has been cleared out." Su Wu looked at his hands with slight satisfaction.

During this time, the amount of his Cursed Energy had been increasing, and both his control over it and his mastery of his skills had improved tremendously.

Previously, when he used Dismantle, he had been unable to cut apart Nen ability users. Now, however, he could kill ordinary Nen ability users.

"I need to find Lord Al..." He shakily crawled out of the surveillance room, feeling his way through the darkness until he reached the deepest, most luxurious office.

The door, which should have been tightly shut, stood open by a crack. A bad premonition suddenly rose in his heart.

"Lord Al? Are you there?" He crawled through the gap into the office, but his hand touched something wet on the floor.

"What... is this...?" He slowly raised his hand and brought it close to smell.

The scent of blood flooded his nostrils.

"Lord Al...?" His hands fumbled around, only to touch a large expanse of things, some soft and some hard.

He looked more closely, only to discover piles of bloodied flesh and chunks of bone.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH—" He screamed and frantically backed away until he reached a corner.

"Don't kill me, don't kill me—"

"Save me, save me—"

He looked around in panic before suddenly thinking of something and quickly crawling toward a corner of the office.

In the corner of the office stood a safe half the height of a person.

Trembling, he twisted the safe open and threw all its contents outside. Then he squeezed into the emptied safe and locked its door.

"Won't find me, won't find me—"

"I'm already dead..."

Curled up inside the safe, he said in a trembling whisper.

Who knew how much time had passed before someone knocked on the safe.

"Knock, knock, knock—"

"Is anyone in there?" the voice asked.

He held his breath, wishing even his heartbeat would stop, terrified of being discovered inside the safe.

"Looks like there's no one left. Then I'll be going," the voice outside said.

After listening for a long while and hearing no movement, the man finally let out a breath of relief.

Su Wu sat atop the safe and used the phone Pampas had given him to send the other party a message.

[Come quickly. --Sil Devil]

Pampas had left a tracker on him, so he would be able to find this place.

He looked down at the paper documents he had picked up from the floor. After glancing through them a few times, he lost interest and looked away.

He could leave this sort of thing to Pampas.
