Background / History

Meteor City

Su Wu transmigrated after dying in his original world and awakened in Meteor City on a garbage heap, immediately surrounded by people intending to harm him. He killed several attackers, escaped, and chose to develop compatibility with Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna through the Mischief System. 1

Pampas gave him the name Hill, housed him through the church, and treated him as an investment with future value. During this period, Su Wu trained under Sid using increasingly heavy Weighted Rings; by the time Pampas checked on him, he had undergone six weight increases. 5 11 18

Before leaving Meteor City, Su Wu's Nen manifested as the Tarot-card ability Wheel of Law. Pampas supplied him with identification for the Hunter Exam, while Sid gave him money and a backpack for the journey. 18

Hunter Career

Su Wu crossed the Gordo Desert as a caravan guard, where he exposed Lu Qi's false helplessness, identified the caravan leader as a Hunter, and endured Six Eyes-related nosebleeds during the journey. 19 20 24

During the Hunter Exam, his overwhelming combat ability isolated him from most candidates. He accidentally inflicted critical injuries with a Black Flash, manipulated other examinees through Maro, stole treasures during the forest test, and attacked the examiners after they dismissed food he had prepared himself. 34 36 38 42

He later worked as a bounty hunter in Yorknew, where he casually killed pursuers who photographed him and became a target for criminals seeking to sell his eyes. His actions were significant enough to force a truce between the Yorknew Mafia and Meteor City. 76 80 88

Eight months after reaching the South Pole, Su Wu became a One-star Bounty Hunter. He was hired by Batra to clear Greed Island and appointed as an examiner for the 287th Hunter Exam. 102

Heian-era Identity

After arriving in an unfamiliar ancient setting, Su Wu adopted the identity Gojo Kiri, presenting himself as a distant Gojo relative from the Great Tang. He reached Heian-kyō, met the era's Six Eyes user Gojo Haru, and was accepted into the Gojo Family. 195 198

Su Wu spread the story of the Painted Skin Ghost across Kyoto, creating Xiao Wei through the rumor's influence before personally burning her to ashes. He later defeated Gojo Haru, after which Heian-kyō's rulers built him a shrine and sought to maintain peace by worshipping him. 198 201 204

Although he accepted the shrine, Su Wu regarded faith-based divinity as restrictive and intended instead to seize the Moon God's position. He gathered retainers, including the Fujiwara sisters, and used the shrine as a base of influence over Heian-kyō. 204 207

Thousand Years Later

Su Wu bound Brain Flower and moved forward one thousand years, awakening injured in 2005. Toji Fushiguro found him in an alley and agreed to help him in exchange for money and accommodation. 221

He was later identified as Sukuna's vessel and became a wanted criminal. Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru were dispatched against him, but Su Wu injured both of them before contacting Shoko Ieiri to ensure they survived. 224 225

Appearance

Su Wu is a pale, white-haired youth whose appearance combines traits associated with Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna. His beauty and unusual coloring often cause others to underestimate him until they sense his power. 1 19 75

  • Naturally snow-white hair and snow-white skin. 1
  • Blue Six Eyes, though he can also display scarlet eyes and an additional pair of eyes. 1 181 196 227
  • Black cursed markings across his face and, later, a mark on the crown of his head. 19 111
  • Usually wears modern clothing, but adopted Great Tang-style garments while using the identity Gojo Kiri. 75 195 201
  • Has grown from a young boy into a young man by the Greed Island period. 153

Personality

Su Wu is calm under sudden danger and treats transmigration, combat, and even severe injury as problems to be analyzed rather than tragedies to mourn. He is self-aware that he possesses advantages from transmigration and the System, describing himself as a “cheater.” 1 24 32

He enjoys provoking people, frightening weaker opponents, and arranging conflicts for his own entertainment. He instigated other examinees against Maro, considered becoming a Sky Arena Floor Master partly to mock Hisoka, and regards strong opponents as the most satisfying source of excitement. 36 41 57

His morality is inconsistent rather than absent. He can be casually lethal toward enemies and bystanders who inconvenience him, yet he has also summoned aid for people he injured, healed Killua's damaged hands, and indulged Alluka's requests. 34 76 119 158

Su Wu dislikes being defined by others' expectations. He rejects the role of a protective god, has little interest in maintaining worshippers' faith, and prefers establishing direct control rather than submitting to institutions or committees. 167 197 219

Abilities & Skills

Mischief System and Compatibility

Su Wu's System tracks his compatibility with Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna. Compatibility determines both the powers available to him and the degree of control he has over them. 10 52

  • Gojo compatibility of 60% unlocks Limitless; Sukuna compatibility of 60% unlocks Reverse Cursed Technique. 10
  • Dual compatibility of 80% unlocks Domain-related abilities. 10
  • Total role affinity of 50 unlocks the System shop. 10 41
  • His early Six Eyes control was limited by his 20% Gojo compatibility rather than the ability's full potential. 52

Six Eyes

Su Wu possesses Six Eyes, granting extreme perception of energy and surroundings. 1

  • Provides a 360-degree field of vision and long-range observation. 1
  • Detects Cursed Energy, Nen, life energy, energy signatures, and residual non-human energy. 1 165
  • Allows him to track Nen trajectories and identify individuals with unusually high life energy. 5 31
  • Initially causes headaches, nosebleeds, buzzing ears, and mental strain from excessive information. 1 24 41
  • The burden lessens as his body and compatibility improve, though nosebleeds persist at 30% compatibility. 24 80

Limitless

Su Wu initially uses Blue and Red as high-output attack methods. 5

  • Blue can propel him at high speed and later manifests as “Blue Sky,” a powerful attraction force capable of pulling an Azure Dragon from deep water. 5 193
  • Red is available as an offensive technique. 5
  • Limitless can be used defensively against exceptionally durable opponents, including the Chimera Ant King. 177
  • Early use rapidly drains his limited energy reserves. 5

Wheel of Law

Su Wu's Nen ability materializes as a Tarot deck called Wheel of Law. He draws cards that produce upright buffs or reversed debuffs. 18 27

  • The Emperor — Upright enhances control and creates oppressive authority capable of forcing weaker targets to obey commands such as “kneel” or “shut up.” 27 28
  • The World — Upright grants ongoing vitality and continuously increases his Cursed Energy and Nen. 27 28
  • Wheel of Fate — Reversed inflicts misfortune. 27
  • The Fool — Reversed causes disorder; High Priestess — Reversed causes mental confusion; Magician — Reversed weakens will. 44
  • Drawn cards must be used within half an hour or affect Su Wu instead. 44 53
  • Drawing five cards extends his cooldown from 24 to 48 hours, though card effects still last 24 hours. 53
  • The Emperor's forced-control effect is less reliable against targets with stronger life energy. 28

Sukuna-derived Techniques

Su Wu possesses Sukuna-derived cursed abilities, though their control and output are tied to Sukuna compatibility. 6 52

  • Dismantle is among his unlocked techniques, but its control was initially restricted by low compatibility. 52
  • He can use Open to create and spread intense flames capable of incinerating a mountain-infested Yaoguai. 196
  • He triggered a Black Flash during a Hunter Exam sparring session. 34
  • His Sukuna traits become more pronounced as compatibility rises, including additional eyes and increasingly inhuman instincts. 181 186

Reverse Cursed Technique

Su Wu can regenerate severe injuries through Reverse Cursed Technique. 227

  • Regrew limbs after standing at the center of a nuclear explosion. 188
  • Recovered from serious damage rapidly enough to impress Toji Fushiguro. 227
  • Can use healing ability on others, including repairing Killua's severely injured hands. 158

Domain Expansion

Su Wu has demonstrated multiple Domain Expansions. 181 227

  • Demon Shrine — Used against Hong Yan, leaving the Great Demon incapacitated. 209
  • Ten Shadows Extermination — Used against Toji Fushiguro; its effects age Toji significantly. 227

Combat Training and Physical Ability

Su Wu built his physical foundation through harsh training in Meteor City and later combined Nen, Cursed Energy, and physical combat. 11 186

  • Adapted repeatedly to increasingly heavy Weighted Rings. 11
  • Defeated Dorador in two moves and with a one-hit knockout. 122
  • Pushed open all seven gates of the Zoldyck estate. 115
  • Possesses enough poison resistance to eat the Zoldyck family's poisoned meals without concern. 116

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Ama-no-Sakahoko — A strange spear capable of erasing Nen-created objects on contact; it dispelled Gon's attached plush and injured Gojo Satoru despite Limitless. 179 225
  • Prison Realm — Purchased from the System store for thirty billion; used to seal the Chimera Ant King. 88 188 189
  • Wheel of Law Tarot deck — His materialized Nen ability and primary source of variable buffs and debuffs. 18 27
  • Black goggles — Worn to conceal his eyes and reduce the problems caused by his Six Eyes. 180
  • Allergy and blood-replenishing medicine — Purchased due to seafood allergies, anemia, and recurring blood loss from Six Eyes strain. 29 30

Relationships

  • Pampas — Meteor City church figure and Speculator who invested in Su Wu, provided his Hunter Exam identity card, and later received major financial support from him. 5 18 88 89
  • Sid — Early Meteor City trainer who pushed Su Wu through punishing physical conditioning; gave him travel money and a backpack before his departure. 11 18
