The hotel room door opened without a sound.
Several figures rushed inside and rummaged through the room, searching everywhere. They even checked under the bed, but couldn't find their target.
"Are you looking for me?" a voice came from the doorway.
Everyone in the room turned around. Their target, a white-haired, blue-eyed boy, was leaning against the doorframe, lazily watching them with his arms crossed.
"Third batch..." He covered his mouth with one hand and yawned, while the fingers of his other hand twitched casually.
Everyone in the room was cleanly dismembered in the blink of an eye.
The carpet covering the floor had turned nearly black with blood. Even perfume couldn't mask the overpowering stench.
"Who exactly has it in for me?"
"I don't even know who I should ask to compensate me for the emotional distress." Su Wu pushed the door open and gestured for the attendant standing in the hallway to go in and clean up.
Then he grabbed a chair and sat down in the hallway outside the room.
This was the third group of people he'd encountered in two days. They were skilled at picking locks and even at climbing up to break in through windows.
Some said nothing and simply tried to kill him. Others had gone straight to throwing a bomb into his room.
He'd already changed rooms twice. The hotel staff were practically begging him to move to another hotel.
Su Wu found it hard to understand. He'd been prepared for people to target him, or even kidnap him.
But these three groups clearly hadn't come to kidnap him. They'd come to kill him.
When he'd encountered the first two groups, he'd left survivors, hoping to question them. But they were like suicide soldiers: they'd rather kill themselves than say a word.
