"So that means my current body is Diavolo's?"
Bucciarati clenched his fist and said something astonishing. "If I kill myself now, will Diavolo die as well?"
Hearing this, Narancia immediately scrambled to his feet. "No, Bucciarati. Don't act rashly over something we're not sure about."
Dawn merely raised an eyebrow and stepped forward to pat Bucciarati on the shoulder.
"Bucciarati, there's no need for that. Our top priority is finding Silver Chariot Requiem and taking back the Insect Arrow."
Bucciarati nodded without saying much.
But inwardly, he had already prepared himself to die at any moment.
Using a body on the verge of death to take down Diavolo at the height of his power—Bucciarati would not hesitate in the slightest.
This was not only Bucciarati's resolve toward death, but also the safest way to protect his teammates' lives.
No one knew whose body Diavolo currently inhabited, or when he might emerge.
The three walked side by side, while Cloud Dragon guarded Dawn's flanks.
Before long, Dawn spotted Silver Chariot Requiem advancing with strange steps.
Silver Chariot Requiem was no ordinary Stand. The Insect Arrow had bestowed upon it power beyond imagination.
Judging from its performance in the original story, before the light orb at the back of its head was shattered, Silver Chariot Requiem was practically invincible.
But... if I were accidentally scratched by the Insect Arrow while taking it, how would fate react?
Dawn thought to himself, but outwardly remained calm as he ran alongside Bucciarati toward Silver Chariot Requiem.
If it came down to it, given his relationship with Giorno, borrowing the Insect Arrow afterward would not be impossible.
"Sticky Fingers!"
Bucciarati gave a low shout and severed Silver Chariot Requiem's arm with a single punch.
The Insect Arrow fell to the ground. Seeing this, Dawn did not act rashly, instead stopping to wait for what happened next.
"Got it."
Bucciarati was overjoyed and bent down to pick up the Insect Arrow.
Silver Chariot Requiem, having lost an arm, turned around and quietly activated its Stand-controlling ability.
Sticky Fingers went berserk. Its arm shot out and tightly strangled Bucciarati's throat.
"What?!"
Giorno and the others were also rushing over. Seeing this scene, they were stunned beyond belief.
"Sticky Fingers is actually attacking Bucciarati."
Giorno's soul resided within Narancia's body, and his once "clever-looking" eyes had become clear and brimming with wisdom.
"This is an ability even I didn't know about. Silver Chariot Requiem... can control other people's Stands!"
The turtle in Giorno's hands spoke in a human voice.
Polnareff had not truly died. Due to Silver Chariot Requiem, his soul had switched into the turtle's body.
Seeing Sticky Fingers raise its fist, about to deliver a fatal blow to its own user, Dawn immediately ordered Cloud Dragon forward to help.
Roar!!!
Cloud Dragon spat ice crystals, carrying Notorious Big as it slammed into Silver Chariot Requiem's chest and sent it flying.
A fierce cold wind swept through the area, blowing the Insect Arrow on the ground away and temporarily distancing it from Bucciarati.
Sticky Fingers returned to normal. Its descending fist loosened, and its figure slowly vanished into midair.
Meanwhile, Notorious Big clung tightly to Silver Chariot Requiem, attempting to devour it.
A thoughtful look flashed through Dawn's eyes. How would Silver Chariot Requiem handle this situation?
The facts proved that as long as it was an ordinary Stand, no matter how powerful its stats were, it stood no chance against a Requiem.
Silver Chariot Requiem did not react at all. It picked up the Insect Arrow, reattached its severed arm, and left without looking back.
Notorious Big's devouring speed was not even as fast as Silver Chariot Requiem's recovery speed.
Dawn sighed at the sight.
He called Cloud Dragon back to retrieve Notorious Big. If it kept devouring things, Cloud Dragon would soon have no room left inside.
Dawn had intended to continue the pursuit, but Bucciarati unexpectedly called out to him.
Bucciarati glanced at the departing Silver Chariot Requiem, then turned to Dawn. "My body stood up. The soul inside is most likely an enemy."
"Then kill him."
Dawn summoned Cloud Dragon, ready to act.
"Mr. Dawn, please wait. What if it's a civilian?"
After hesitating for a moment, Trish still decided to remind him.
Giorno hid behind a pillar, secretly observing the enemy's movements as he said, "Don't worry, Trish. If any innocents are hurt, I can help treat them."
Hearing that, Trish stopped trying to dissuade them and simply watched quietly.
"Go."
Dawn gave the order. Cloud Dragon shot forward with a furious roar, unleashing its icy breath.
Notorious Big flew toward Tobio, pierced through his chest, and began gradually consuming his flesh.
Tobio collapsed to the ground, his breath growing weaker and weaker.
At this moment, how much he wished the Boss would call him as usual and tell him what to do next.
"Looks like he really is an enemy."
Narancia summoned Aerosmith. Because of the soul swap, his Stand had been enhanced, and its scouting range had become larger.
"Nothing unusual nearby. It's safe."
Narancia withdrew Aerosmith and turned toward the others with a broad smile. "Another enemy taken care of. Once we get the Insect Arrow, I'll go back to school. I'll eat pizza from my hometown too, with lots and lots of porcini mushrooms sprinkled on top...
"If I run into Fugo, even if he laughs at me for being stupid, that would actually be pretty nice. It's just a shame... Huh? A shame about what? It feels like I've forgotten something."
Narancia scratched his head, failing to notice Dawn looking at him strangely.
"Narancia..."
Dawn opened his mouth, but suddenly, the sound of space shattering rang out. King Crimson activated Time Erasure.
Diavolo, who had lurked in the shadows for a long time, finally launched a surprise attack while everyone's attention was diverted.
"Dawn, your spirit is simply too strong. Without activating Time Erasure, I couldn't even control you freely."
Diavolo muttered to himself. He and Dawn had been trapped together inside Giorno's body, yet Dawn had somehow taken the dominant position.
Taking advantage of Time Erasure, scarlet flames surged around Diavolo's body. He raised one hand and viciously plunged it into his own heart.
"Epitaph told me that Giorno will heal this body. I, Emperor Diavolo, will live on in your place."
"Fate chose me."
Blood spurted from Diavolo's mouth. He crushed his heart with one hand, a wildly exaggerated smile curling across his lips, filled with a victor's confidence.
"Time, resume."
Diavolo spoke softly as his body fell backward limply.
In an instant, Dawn regained control.
Diavolo's soul was forced back into a corner once more. Dawn gritted his teeth and recited each word.
