Zhang Xiaofan reached the Qingyun tournament semifinals and joined the mission to Kongsang Mountain, where he fell into the Dead Spirit Abyss and was rescued by Bi Yao. Ye Xuan found Zhang Xiaofan, battled the Black Water Mysterious Snake, and led him and Bi Yao to the Blood Dripping Cave, where Ye Xuan began cultivating a new technique.

• Zhang Xiaofan defeated Tian Yun with the Firewood Stick and reached the semifinals, where Lu Xueqi defeated him after Ye Xuan stopped her divine thunder from killing him.
• Qi Hao defeated Lu Xueqi in the final and won the Six Harmonies Mirror, while Tian Buyi secretly ordered Ye Xuan to follow the four mission members.
• Ye Xuan followed Zhang Xiaofan, Qi Hao, Lu Xueqi, and Zeng Shushu to Kongsang Mountain, where the group entered the Ten Thousand Bat Cave and confronted Blood Refining Hall cultivators.
• Old Man Nian opened a concealed pit beneath Zhang Xiaofan, sending him into the Dead Spirit Abyss, and Ye Xuan killed the attackers before jumping in after him.
• Bi Yao found the injured Zhang Xiaofan by the Ruthless Sea and treated him, but the Black Water Mysterious Snake attacked them before Ye Xuan arrived and fought it off.
• Ye Xuan returned wounded but alive, and Zhang Xiaofan defended Bi Yao after explaining that she had saved him.

• Ye Xuan escaped the Blood Dripping Cave with Zhang Xiaofan, leaving Bi Yao behind, and the Ghost King realized Ye Xuan had concealed his immense strength.
• Ye Xuan and Zhang Xiaofan reached Flowing Wave Mountain, where Ye Xuan signed in and then killed four Demon Cult lackeys while Zhang Xiaofan defeated their leader.
• Ye Xuan joined the battle against the Demon Cult and repelled You Ji before the Ghost King ordered a retreat.
• When the Ghost King used the Dragon Subduing Cauldron to suppress Kui Niu, Ye Xuan killed White Tiger and shattered the cauldron’s hold, freeing the divine beast.
• Back at Qingyun, Ye Xuan told Tian Buyi and Su Ru that he and Zhang Xiaofan had found the Heavenly Book, then used an enlightenment opportunity to reach the ninth level of the Shangqing Realm.
• Dao Xuan Zhenren revealed that several Demon Cult factions planned to attack Qingyun and kill Ye Xuan, while Cang Song admitted he had promised Poison God to open a breach but intended to lure the enemy into an ambush.
• Ye Xuan harvested Tian Buyi’s rare herbs and refined Heavenly Sun Pills for Great Bamboo Peak’s disciples.
• After taking the pills, Song Daren, Tian Ling'er, Lin Jingyu, and Zhang Xiaofan all made major cultivation advances, strengthening Great Bamboo Peak for the coming battle.
