Of course, some listeners present couldn't enter a meditative state. The lecture was like hearing the Heavenly Script to them; they couldn't understand the slightest bit of the Dao or grasp its meaning.
Those were the Ancestral Witches. Dao Ancestor Hongjun lectured on the Great Dao of the Nascent Soul, but the Witch Clan had no Nascent Souls to begin with. Amid the Heavenly Phenomena, the Enchanting Dao Sound went in one ear and out the other, and none of the Witches could comprehend it at all.
They listened for a long time, yet remained dazed and confused, nearly nodding off. Among the Ancestral Witches, however, one understood its subtlety: Houtu. But she was the only one.
Houtu was clearly different from the other Ancestral Witches. It was precisely for this reason that she would later accomplish such immense merit.
Aside from the Ancestral Witches, all the other cultivators had immersed themselves in the lecture and entered a state of enlightenment.
