The person sitting cross-legged on the ground slowly opened her eyes. She had been Nameless, but now she had recovered her name: Uchiha Hikari.
The eyes in her sockets were no longer the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which had glimmered with an eerie red light. Instead, they were a pair of pale purple Rinnegan, marked with concentric rings.
"Shinji, I... think I did it!"
Joy blossomed across Uchiha Hikari's face.
The instant she recovered her name, she saw through the lost illusion and awakened the Rinnegan. She had become another Rinnegan wielder, following Karin.
Shinji let out a breath of relief.
The thought of what had just happened still frightened him. If he hadn't brought his Kiseki to Hikari in time, she might have sunk into her self-doubt and lost herself completely.
Shinji said, "You've only just awakened the Rinnegan, so your body probably hasn't fully adapted yet. Rest for a while. Once your body has adjusted completely, I'll use 'Yachihoko' to send a Chakra shock through you and help you recover your ocular jutsu!"

Uchiha Hikari answered.
Having recovered her name and awakened the Rinnegan, she seemed much more cheerful now. She wore a smile, and truly felt like a ray of light.
Shinji smiled and said, "Let's go out. Everyone's probably getting worried waiting outside!"
Uchiha Hikari called after him. "Wait!"
Shinji turned around. "What is it?"
Uchiha Hikari said solemnly, "Thank you, Shinji!"
"Did you forget?" Shinji smiled and teased her. "I'm the lamp, and you're the light. Of course I should look after you!"
Uchiha Hikari nodded firmly. "All right. Then I'll stay by your side from now on!"
"Let's go!"
Shinji waved her along.
