The Tenth One

After hearing a voice come from deep inside the cave, Ganjuro was startled. His body reacted instinctively, leaping backward as he continuously hurled several hissing kunai, each wrapped with an Explosive Tag, into the depths of the cave!

Whoosh.

Just then, a figure dropped down at the cave entrance, blocking his way out.

At almost the same time, another figure darted out from deep within the cave and, while dodging the kunai, swung out several flashes of sword light wreathed in cold air.

In an instant, the Explosive Tags already ignited and trailing behind the kunai were cut into several pieces. The sparks were frozen by the cold and flickered a few times before going out.

Trapped inside the cave, Ganjuro was aghast, his expression terrifyingly dark.

Only then did he realize that the person blocking the entrance was merely a red-haired girl who looked around eleven or twelve, wore glasses, and still had a youthful air about her.

And the one who had so casually sliced apart all the Explosive Tags attached to his kunai was merely a slightly older black-haired boy with clear, bright eyes.

"Damn it, more brats from Konoha!"

Ganjuro cursed under his breath and began calculating how to deal with them.

After the failed ambush at Star Valley, he no longer dared underestimate these Konoha brats. And judging by their movements just now, they were clearly no pushovers.

Just then, the steady sound of footsteps came from deep inside the cave.

Drawn by the sound, Ganjuro looked over and saw a handsome boy, around eleven or twelve, with bright, alert eyes, walking out of the shadows.

This kid...

Almost instinctively, Ganjuro sensed that this last boy to emerge from the shadows was no ordinary child!
