What Is Your Choice?

Just as Kakuzu and Hidan had set their sights on the Six-Tails Jinchuriki, Utakata, in the Land of Water, and Itachi and Juzo Biwa had headed to Takigakure to deal with the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, Kaede, a massive shadow appeared over Konoha.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

When the villagers noticed something was wrong and looked up, a series of sharp whistles suddenly rang in their ears.

They looked down and saw that the objects whistling down from the sky and embedding themselves in the ground were feathers.

But unlike ordinary feathers, their tips looked like lit fuses, burning fiercely.

"What are these?"

Some villagers walked up to the feathers, wanting to take a closer look.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The next moment, the colorful feathers exploded, unleashing a sea of flames!

Taken by surprise, Konoha immediately went on high alert.

Large numbers of Konoha Ninja took to the streets of their own accord. Some searched for the enemy, while others treated the wounded, put out fires, maintained order, or evacuated the crowds.

It wasn't long before the ninja realized the attack was coming from the shadow overhead. But it was flying so high that ordinary methods couldn't reach it.

The Third stood with his hands behind his back, staring out the window with a grave expression.

Before long, the two Elder advisors, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura, arrived together and hurried into the Hokage Office.

"How are things?" Utatane Koharu asked.

The Third shook his head. "We're still investigating!"

Whoosh.

An ANBU directly under the Third appeared in the office and reported with a bow, "Lord Hokage, the Sensory Unit has confirmed that the one attacking us from the sky is Hiruko's Chimera! So we can be fairly certain the attack came from the Akatsuki Organization, and the attacker
