The Encounter and the Standoff

Sakura, who had still been smiling moments earlier, let out a scream!

Although the proctor had warned her that there might be casualties in this exam, she was still thrown into a panic by the bloody scene before her.

Naruto, standing beside her, was even more enraged. "What the hell are you doing? They're your teammates!"

"Teammates?!" Sakon Ukon chuckled. "Hah. Those useless losers don't deserve to be our teammates!"

Naruto stared at them in disbelief. "Aren't you from the same village?"

Sakon Ukon replied carelessly, "So what? Once they begged you for mercy and handed over their scroll, they stopped deserving to live!"

Sakura looked stunned. "B-but this is only an exam!"

Sakon Ukon sneered. "Hey, are you stupid? We're ninjas! Did you think this was a game?"

"You guys are disgusting, attacking your own teammates!" Naruto rolled up his sleeves. "I'm going to teach you a lesson!"

Sasuke raised a hand to stop Naruto, then glanced at Sakon Ukon. "So you won't hold it against me if you die by my hand?"

Sakon Ukon laughed. "Of course not. But do you have what it takes?"

"Looks like Shinji went too easy on you when he beat you before!" Sasuke paused, then rested one hand on his hip. "But I'm not like him. I never go easy on people I can't stand!"

Sakon Ukon had been smirking, but the moment Sasuke mentioned Shinji Uchiha, he seemed to take it as a direct hit and immediately lost his composure. "Hmph. Let's see if you're still this cocky in a minute!"

Elsewhere.

Ryūsetsuna, Chiyo, and a fellow Kusagakure teammate were facing off against two other teams.

As luck would have it, the teams confronting them were Yakumo's squad, which Chiyo had narrowly beaten with a single move, and Gaara's squad.
