The Killings Continue!

Rumble, rumble.

Hearing the continuous explosions up ahead, Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo looked at each other.

"Sounds like a huge battle has broken out up ahead!"

Chiyo tried to get a better look, but the trees in the Forest of Death were too dense, blocking her view. She couldn't make out what was happening.

Ryūsetsuna nodded. "Yeah. For some reason, the Chakra over there feels really sinister! I wonder who's fighting."

Chiyo looked curious. "Should we go take a look?"

Ryūsetsuna thought it over, then nodded. "Let's go!"

They were heading in the direction the fake Shinji Kotera had gone, the same direction Kurotsuchi had just pointed out. If they kept going, there was a good chance they'd find him.

Besides, she was confident in her and Chiyo's speed. Even if they ran into a powerful enemy, she thought they could use their speed to break away from the fight.

The battlefield looked as if a hurricane had swept through it. Of the 'Three Demons' Tayuya had summoned, one lay on his back, another leaned motionless against a tree.

The last one crouched with his arms wrapped around himself, protecting Tayuya as she panted inside.

Elsewhere, Jirobo, missing an arm, hid behind the 'mud doll' he had summoned, his face ashen.

As for Sakon, whose rage had clouded his judgment, he had already followed in Ukon's footsteps. His head had been smashed, and he lay dead somewhere in a remote corner.

Sasuke, aside from breathing a little heavily, was uninjured.

Tayuya shouted anxiously, "Kidomaru, if you don't act now, we won't hold out much longer!"

Jirobo chimed in, "This guy's a monster!"

The trees around them remained quiet, as if no one were hiding among them at all.

Sasuke shook his head slightly. "It's not that he doesn't want to attack.
