Sasuke leaned against the wall, his expression gloomy.
By now, he had completely calmed down. After replaying everything that had happened in his mind, he knew he had fallen into Danzo's trap.
But he did not regret it.
After seeing the Sharingan covering Danzo's entire arm, Sasuke's hatred for him had reached an irrepressible level. Even if Danzo appeared before him now, Sasuke would not miss the chance to strike as long as he had one!
Just then, footsteps echoed through the passage outside the cell.
Sasuke forced himself to move to the bars and craned his neck to look outside.
Danzo had clearly targeted the Uchiha Clan this time, so Sasuke was worried that Shinji might have been taken down by Danzo as well.
Soon, the footsteps drew closer and closer.
The prison was dimly lit. Since Sasuke could not activate his Sharingan, no matter how hard he tried, he could only make out a few blurry figures.

What entered his sight was not Shinji being escorted, but Danzo, who had spent the entire time scheming against him not long ago and manipulating him with ease.
But Danzo no longer looked sinister and cold as he had before. His brows were filled with gloom and exhaustion, and he looked as if he had aged more than a decade in an instant.
"Hmph!"
At that
