"Karin, we came to see you!"
Shion knocked on the door as she called out.
After a long while, the door finally opened, revealing Karin. "You... why did you all come?"
Shion barged right in and set the fruit and snacks she was carrying on the table. "Karin, look who's here!"
Yakumo followed behind Shion and entered Karin's apartment.
Karin was a little surprised to see Yakumo.
In fact, while she was recovering from her injuries, her classmates had all come to visit her at least once or twice. Yakumo was the only one who hadn't come at all.
Once inside, Yakumo looked Karin up and down and asked, "Karin, how are the injuries on your face healing?"
"I'm fine now."
Karin shook her head.
The bandages on her face had been removed, leaving no sign of the wounds, and she had put back on the goggles she used to wear all the time.
As Yakumo looked her over, a sudden jolt ran through her. What's going on? Why do I feel threatened? Is there something in this room that could pose a threat to me?
Karin was watching Yakumo too. She quietly activated the Mind's Eye of the Kagura and was secretly taken aback. S-so much Chakra!
There was no doubt about it.
They both instinctively felt wary of each other.
Yakumo had wanted to activate the Red Dragon Eye and search Karin's apartment from top to bottom for the source of this inexplicable sense of danger. But she was here to visit Karin, and suddenly activating the Red Dragon Eye would be rather rude.
Karin, meanwhile, was stunned by Yakumo's Chakra and lost in thought for a moment.
Just then, Shion suddenly squeezed between them. "You're all healed? That's wonderful! Karin, come get barbecue with us!"
