Amado and the others learned that 'B' had been disguised as Shinji at the Core Node, leaving them wondering where the real Shinji was. Otsutsuki Shibai fled toward the Research Institute to absorb Ada and Daemon's divine techniques, but a barrier trapped him and bone rods struck him.

• Amado told Ada, Daemon, and Scorpion that 'B' had guarded the Core Node while disguised as Shinji.
• Ada and the others realized Shinji had concealed the guards' identities to keep 'B''s role secret, and they wondered where he was.
• Otsutsuki Shibai, weakened after Karin struck him with the Tamatsukuri Spear, feared Shinji was nearby and fled with Karin in pursuit.
• Otsutsuki Shibai reached the Research Institute, intending to absorb Ada and Daemon's divine techniques and grow strong enough to defeat Shinji.
• A barrier rose around Otsutsuki Shibai on the Institute's roof, and dozens of bone rods shot into him.

Karin, Uchiha Hikari, and Kaguya Otsutsuki ambushed the weakened Otsutsuki Shibai and fought him at the Research Institute. After Hikari sealed the surrounding space, their combined attacks overwhelmed him, and he began to decay under Kaguya’s All-Killing Ash Bones.

• Otsutsuki Shibai realized Karin, Ada, and Daemon had lured him into a trap, and Karin joined Hikari and Kaguya Otsutsuki at the battlefield.
• Kaguya Otsutsuki revealed that her improved All-Killing Ash Bones was damaging Shibai beyond the reach of his Transformation shinjutsu.
• Karin, Hikari, and Kaguya attacked Shibai together, gradually gaining the advantage as his injuries worsened and the Research Institute grounds were nearly leveled.

Karin, Hikari, and Kaguya Otsutsuki thought they had defeated Otsutsuki Shibai, but the Overlord of Fear revived him and raised his power to the Kekkei Sōra realm. The three answered with Divine Art: Time River—Banishment.

• Amado, Scorpion, Daemon, and Ada waited in the ruined underground shelter, unable to see the surface battle.
• Karin, Hikari, and Kaguya Otsutsuki watched Otsutsuki Shibai decay after Karin’s disguise and Shinji’s trap helped defeat him.

Karin, Hikari, and Kaguya Otsutsuki used Shinji’s Time River to trap “Otsutsuki Shibai” after he ascended to Kekkei Sōra. His presence vanished, leaving them uncertain whether the technique could hold him.

• “Otsutsuki Shibai” found himself cut off from his senses and trapped in the Time River, unable to escape or affect his surroundings.
• “Otsutsuki Shibai” unleashed ninjutsu and shinjutsu, but his attacks disappeared into the warped chaos.
• Amado, Ada, and Daemon lost their ability to sense “Otsutsuki Shibai,” while Ada suspected the three fighters had made him disappear.
• Karin, Hikari, and Kaguya Otsutsuki used the Time River, draining their Chakra as they trapped “Otsutsuki Shibai.”
• Karin said she could no longer sense him, and Kaguya Otsutsuki realized he may have reached a new realm beyond Kekkei Mōra.

Karin told Ada and Amado that Otsutsuki Shibai had been dealt with, but the Overlord of Fear continued pouring dark purple mist into the Shinobi World. Across several nodes, the defenders faced renewed attacks, while Naruto refused to surrender to Kabuto Yakushi.

• Ada, Daemon, Amado, and Scorpion emerged from underground, and Karin told them Otsutsuki Shibai had been dealt with.
• Amado saw that the Overlord of Fear’s dark purple mist was still entering the Shinobi World, confirming the crisis continued.
• At Node 2, Shion faced more corrupted puppet ninja as the Communications Unit warned her that enemies were approaching.
• At Node 3, Zabuza regenerated after Otsutsuki Toneri cut him in two and taunted him as Toneri’s Chakra ran low.
• At Node 4, Sasuke learned that Ōnoki’s Dust Release had reduced his right arm to atoms, then prepared to face approaching enemies.
• At Node 5, Naruto told Kabuto Yakushi he would never give up, and Menma said he was beginning to admire him.

Neji and Kimimaro saved Ryūsetsuna and defeated the Fourth Raikage, while Haku arrived to help Ido and Yakumo fight the puppet ninja. Shinji revealed that he had been waiting to confront the Overlord of Fear directly and flew through the spatial barrier into space to face him.

• Neji and Kimimaro arrived in time to save Ryūsetsuna, then killed the Fourth Raikage with Divine Pursuit.
• Ryūsetsuna told Neji that Chiyo was injured but should recover, and Neji said their Node 9 was safe before leaving to help elsewhere.
• Haku found Ido controlling Yakumo’s body and learned that Mei Terumi had destroyed the Blood Pool and left Yakumo and Ido near death.
• Haku activated Sage Mode and advanced toward the puppet ninja pursuing Ido and Yakumo.
• Shinji explained that his goal was to weaken and destroy the Overlord of Fear, then flew through the Shinobi World’s spatial barrier into space.

After Shinji stopped the Overlord of Fear’s invasion by confronting it in space, the Shinobi World’s defenders learned they could only wait and hope. Shinji refused the Overlord’s offer to spare the world, destroyed it at the cost of his own life, and drifted alone through space.

• The Overlord of Fear’s mist stopped entering the Shinobi World, and Amado’s monitoring stations confirmed that the planet had stopped collapsing.
• Karin, Hikari, and the others realized Shinji had taken the fight beyond the spatial barrier, while Amado explained that they could do nothing to affect the battle.
• Shinji attacked the Overlord of Fear’s true form in space, cut through its asteroid belt, and pierced its red eye with a golden sword formed from Truth-Seeking Orbs.
• As Shinji burned himself to destroy the Overlord, the Lamp and the Overlord both urged him to stop, but he declared that he only wanted it dead.
• Shinji unleashed a final burst of golden light that annihilated the Overlord of Fear, and the other Overlords felt fear for the first time.
• Shinji drifted through space like a fading ember after the Overlord’s destruction.
