"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"
Three explosive booms rang out almost simultaneously.
The Magic Missiles released their force-field energy as they struck the Mud Statue's body.
Three craters appeared in its body almost instantly.
"Mmm!!!"
The Mud Statue roared.
Gauss couldn't tell whether it felt pain or had simply been enraged by the attacks that hit it.
He narrowed his eyes slightly.
The effects of the Magic Missiles seemed to have been weakened by some kind of energy.
Some special energy was mixed into its earthen body, too.
It gave the otherwise fragile soil a surprising degree of toughness and strength.
So that was it.
If it were merely an enlarged, humanoid Gray Mud Monster, it shouldn't have been classified as an Elite Monster.
The Mud Statue's body behaved a little like the Non-Newtonian Fluid from his previous life. When it needed to throw something, it could easily detach mud and stone from its body. But when facing incoming attacks, its viscous nature allowed it to absorb impact with remarkable effectiveness.
So perhaps he needed to revise his earlier conclusion. Attacking its body should still weaken it, but the process would take a while.
As he thought this over,
he moved quickly, dodging another attack hurled by the Mud Statue.
He kept a distance of around twenty meters from it.
Engaging a gigantic monster that probably weighed several tons in close combat would be unwise. But if he kept too far away, he might lose its attention and let it turn on his teammates. His Magic Missiles also had limited range, so twenty meters was about right.
Still, the thing was a little too big. If its core could move around inside its body, finding it wouldn't be easy.
Would he have to wear it down bit by bit in a prolonged
