Expectant Devilish Creature Lord
Gauss was slightly stunned for a moment.
Leaving aside the fact that the two of them were still in the middle of a battle, that Slime had just vanished and launched its attack with extreme decisiveness. Was it really only introducing itself halfway through the fight?
Had something gone wrong with the process?
He could only understand it as a vast difference between monsters and humans in their ways of thinking. This remained true even when their intelligence was no lower than that of ordinary humans, because they lacked some of the honor, shame, and propriety understood by humans, and their thoughts leaned more toward a direct, straightforward style.
Gauss's gaze locked onto the surrounding environment.
After probing each other for several exchanges, he had already figured out that disturbing the surrounding magical environment would allow him to detect traces of the Slime Lord hidden within it.
At present, all he needed to do was roughly determine the area where it was located. Then he could use the same method to make it reveal itself again.
Thinking this, he spread out his mental power and communicated with the Slime, exchanging names with it.
"My name is Gauss."
Of course, this was merely a strategy to lull the other party into complacency.
Just as he himself did not understand what that Slime's long, unpleasant full name actually meant, perhaps it had only been trying to distract him while secretly preparing some sort of technique.
Suddenly, Gauss's sixth sense once again detected something unusual in the area not far in front of him.
The tightly gripped White Wand then spat out another storm of Magic Missiles.
"Boom! Boom!"
The terrifying magical effects once again drowned that area.
A figure faintly emerged within it once more.
This time, however,
