"What's wrong?" Gauss asked, puzzled.
"Nothing. I just wanted to say that when you're condensing your Class Rank, if you need any nourishing herbs or potions, I can help provide them."
"You need herbs and potions to condense a Class Rank?" Gauss asked curiously.
"You can manage without them, but suitable supplements can speed up the process and might improve the results a little." Seeing that Gauss didn't understand, Lawrence explained. "Spellcaster Apprentices like us need to replenish our minds with nourishing foods or potions. Warriors need supplements that strengthen the body. Apprentices in other professions each have their own needs."
"Got it." Gauss nodded. "Then sorry for the trouble—could you help me buy some?"
Lawrence's family owned an apothecary, and after spending time together lately, Gauss felt that he wasn't the sort to take advantage of others. Having Lawrence buy the supplies for him would save him a lot of trouble.
"It's no trouble."
Lawrence felt relieved when Gauss agreed.
It also meant that Gauss didn't consider their relationship all that distant.
After exploring the dungeon, everyone on the team understood that Gauss's future was boundless.
He would never stop at merely crossing the threshold into a profession. He would keep advancing, seeing sights that they might never get to see in their lifetimes.
Befriending him early meant befriending a future high-ranking professional.

As she spoke, she winked at Gauss.
