After being scolded, everyone muttered their dissatisfaction under their breath, but not a single person was willing to step forward.
Taiyo swept his gaze over the crowd with a gloomy expression. Seeing that no one dared raise their heads, he snorted coldly.
"Hmph. You're all just as useless as that pretty boy!"
Feng An, standing some distance away, frowned slightly when he heard that.
He simply could not be bothered to argue; that did not mean he would let it slide.
He silently marked Taiyo down in his heart. When the Chunin exam came around, he would definitely cripple him.
Feng An walked over to Yudzuki and Fūka.
Fūka said irritably, "What are you coming over here for?"
Feng An shot her a sidelong glance in return.
"You two look so alike. Why is your personality so awful?"
"You!"
Fūka looked like she was about to make a move, but her older sister, Yudzuki, stopped her.
Yudzuki nodded apologetically.
"This is our first time participating. We don't understand anything. If you team up with us, we'll only hold you back."
That was exactly what he wanted—teammates who knew nothing. The ones who knew too much were the kind most likely to stab you in the back. Those were the real troublemakers.
Hearing Yudzuki's polite words, Feng An could not help glancing at Fūka and shaking his head lightly.
How could two sisters be so different?
"This is actually my first time taking the Chunin exam too. Just like you, I'm here to gain experience."
Yudzuki hesitated. With Taiyo as a warning, who knew whether this person was deliberately trying to toy with the sisters for amusement?
She asked softly again, "Really? If you team up with us, you really might get eliminated."
Feng An nodded. "Really."
"Then... all right. Fūka, are you willing to team up with him?"
Fūka, who had been sulking beside them, curled her lips. "I don't mind. If you agree, Sis, then it's fine."
They had actually been looking for teammates here for several days, but everyone else had suggested that the two sisters split up and join separate teams.
Fūka refused. She was afraid her kind-hearted sister would be bullied, so she could only play the villain herself. As a result, three days had passed and they still had not managed to form a team.
Yudzuki smiled at Feng An and held out her little hand in the air.
Fūka immediately held out her hand as well.
Feng An had initially been a little confused as to why the two of them had suddenly extended their hands, but he instantly understood what they meant.
He reached out too. Once the three hands were stacked together, they pressed down.
"We're a team now."
Whenever Yudzuki spoke, a gentle smile always shone through her eyes, making it easy for people's hearts to be stirred by her.
Fortunately, Feng An had exceptional self-control. It probably, maybe, perhaps had no effect on him at all.
Feng An suggested, "Should we give our team a name?"
"Sure."
As the three of them considered names, no one noticed Taiyo's dark expression nearby.
Why did he get to team up with Yudzuki?
Since she refused to be on the same team as me, I won't let you have it easy either.
Taiyo gave a sinister laugh and looked at the crowd that had yet to leave.
"Look, everyone. That pretty boy really did hook up with them. Three trash teaming up—are they here for the Chunin exam? Hah, who knows what those three will be doing tonight."
They all knew Taiyo had participated in many Chunin exams and were aware of his strength, so naturally, no one dared say anything against him.
Though he was facing the crowd, even an idiot could tell he was using them to curse someone else.
Fūka clenched her fists, her face reddening as she was about to retort, but Yudzuki covered her mouth.
Yudzuki shook her head at her.
She knew they could not fight Taiyo. If you could not beat a mad dog, the best option was to stay away from it.
Yudzuki said calmly, "Let's go somewhere else and talk."
But Feng An did not see it that way.
A good horse gets ridden; a good man gets bullied.
Without even turning around, he said, "Why is there a dog yapping nonstop? Yudzuki, Fūka, did you hear that?"
The two sisters' eyes widened at Feng An's words.
They had not expected this seemingly frail boy to dare mock Taiyo.
What dog?
Hearing Feng An's words, Taiyo frowned and looked around.
At that moment, Yudzuki grabbed Feng An with her left hand and Fūka with her right, hurriedly pulling them outside.
She wanted to leave before Taiyo realized what had happened.
Just then, one of the men in the crowd raised his head with a look of sudden realization.
"He's calling you a dog!"
What?
Taiyo's face turned green and red, looking utterly awful.
He rushed over at incredible speed and punched the man who had just spoken in the stomach.
Bang. A dull impact rang out.
The man immediately clutched his stomach and curled up on the ground.
The man in the distance who was registering and organizing information sensed that something was wrong. He quickly hid and used a special method to contact the Konoha Security Department.
Most of the staff at the registration desk were ordinary villagers doing menial work.
After all, those with connections and strength would have their team leaders register directly at the Hokage's office.
The man looked baffled as he explained through the pain, "I wasn't the one calling you a dog. It was—"
"You're insulting me?!"
Taiyo flew into a rage and kicked the man on the ground again.
The man flew several meters across the ground. After shooting Taiyo a resentful glare, he passed out.
Seeing this, everyone quickly scattered and stayed far away from Taiyo.
This guy had gone crazy, attacking people in the village.
In truth, Taiyo had understood what the man meant the moment he pointed it out. He was simply looking for an excuse to beat him up.
What he hated most was people acting smart in front of him.
He then looked at Feng An, whom Yudzuki was pulling away, and sneered disdainfully.
"Trash! You only dare hide behind a woman."
Feng An merely shook his head and sighed.
Some people insisted on courting death. There was nothing he could do about it.
You think beating up some small fry is enough to intimidate me?
He broke free from Yudzuki's grasp and gave her a look to reassure her.
Then, his hands rapidly formed seals.
Shadow Clone Jutsu.
In an instant, two identical Feng Ans appeared. The three of them charged at Taiyo together.
Taiyo sneered at the sight.
"Ridiculous. Do you think this is the Ninja Academy graduation exam? You're actually using such a basic Ninjutsu in a fight."
All I need to do is distinguish them a little, and I'll immediately find your real body.
But in the very next second—
His dismissive expression was replaced by panic.
No matter how carefully he observed, he could not tell which one was the real body.
How was that possible?!
They were all real bodies? This was not Clone Jutsu?!
In the blink of an eye, the three Feng Ans had reached him.
By then, it was already too late for Taiyo to dodge.
Two Feng Ans locked him down tightly while the Feng An in the middle gathered strength and delivered a vicious kick straight at his family jewels.
Taiyo felt a chill between his legs. His pupils contracted as he shouted, "You wouldn't dare!"
A shattering sound immediately rang out.
Hiss! Ngh!!
The bone-piercing pain twisted his face into a terrifying grimace. He could not make even the slightest sound as his whole body went limp.
With a thud, he collapsed to the ground, desperately clutching his crooked family jewels.
Every man present sucked in a breath and looked at Taiyo with sympathy.
Even without having experienced it themselves, they knew just how agonizing that kind of pain was.
Fūka was extremely glad she had not said anything too vicious earlier. Otherwise, if that kick had landed...
At the thought, she could not help clenching her legs together.
Only then did she remember that she did not have such a thing.
"Whew, good thing I don't have..."
Poof. Several clouds of smoke dispersed.
The three Feng Ans became one again.
He stepped forward, crouched before Taiyo, and patted him on the head.
"Brother Taiyo, I gave you a chance, but you were useless."
