For a first time, that was great.
"Eh? Why?!"
Rock Lee hurried forward, grabbed Feng An by the shoulders, and shook him vigorously.
Feng An was nearly shaken dizzy and quickly broke free.
When a hot-blooded fool fixated on you, the best solution was to give him the cold shoulder.
He looked at Might Guy beside him.
"Teacher Guy, teach me the Eight Inner Gates."
Might Guy circled Feng An, giving him a thorough once-over.
Then he nodded. "Your physical strength should already be enough to withstand the discomfort brought by the second gate, the Gate of Healing."
"Only the second gate?"
Feng An muttered quietly.
He had thought that with the body strengthened by Cell Activation, opening at least the Gate of Life would not be a problem.
Hearing him, Might Guy explained,
"Well, it would be fine if you forced your way further. Like Rock Lee—if he did not consider being unable to move afterward, he could open the fifth gate, the Gate of Limit."
"Then if I don't consider the pain, how many gates can I open?"
"You'll have to experience that for yourself. Everyone's perception of pain and willpower are different."
"Try using Chakra to strike the first gate, the Gate of Opening. It's roughly above and to the left of your left eye."
Feng An nodded and closed his eyes.
He guided more Chakra from within his body into the first gate, the Gate of Opening.
For some reason, he had recently felt that his senses were growing stronger and stronger. When he closed his eyes, he seemed able to sense the direction in which Chakra flowed through his pathways.
He continued pouring Chakra into the Gate of Opening's acupoint, but after a long while, he still felt no sign of breaking through its barrier.
