Flender heads Shrek Academy outside Suotuo City. The school lacks official registration and basic establishment qualifications, a situation Yu Xiaogang explains as an attempt to avoid outside control. At the enrollment ceremony, Flender welcomes Tang San, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Huang Yuan, and charges each new student one hundred Gold Soul Coins for the semester 67.

He shares a friendship of more than twenty years with Yu Xiaogang and regards him as the leader of their Golden Iron Triangle. Flender also loves Liu Erlong, but places her happiness with Xiaogang above his own romantic hopes. Huang Yuan’s specially approved admission is connected to a plan involving Liu Erlong, whose eventual purpose Flender reveals privately: reuniting her with Xiaogang 67 97 127.

After the negotiations collapse, Ning Fengzhi secures the group’s release through a massive payment.
