Yao Yan cured Dugu Bo’s poison, strengthened Dugu Yan, and gained a powerful new soul skill before reuniting with Li Caiyi and Zhu Zhuqing. In Suotuo City, conflict with Shrek escalated until Yao Yan exposed Yu Xiaogang’s past with Bibi Dong and left Flender and the Shrek group facing his demands.

• Yao Yan identified Dugu Bo’s inherited Soul Ring Poison, treated his weakened meridians, and helped Dugu Yan evolve her Jade Phosphor Serpent at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye.
• Yao Yan harvested Immortal Herbs, absorbed a fifty-thousand-year Thousand Shadow Vine Soul Ring, and gained the Blue Silver Clone skill.
• Yao Yan returned to Heaven Dou City, helped Li Caiyi awaken a Red Fox Martial Soul, and gave Zhu Zhuqing and Qian Renxue Immortal Herbs while discussing plans for XinHuo Academy.
• Long Qiuer joined Qin Ming’s Imperial Dou Team, defeated Yu Tian Heng in a spar, and later traveled with Yao Yan to Suotuo City.
• After Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun tried to force Long Qiuer into associating with them, Yao Yan beat them, and the Shrek group came looking for revenge.
• Yao Yan and Long Qiuer fought the Shrek group, defeated Zhao Wuji with their Martial Soul Fusion Skill, and rejected Flender’s demand that they join Shrek or cripple themselves.
• Snake Lance Douluo revealed Yao Yan’s status as Spirit Hall’s Young Master, and Yao Yan forced Flender to choose between crippling Yu Xiaogang or his students.
• Yu Xiaogang revealed his history with Bibi Dong, but Ning Rongrong challenged his account, and he vomited blood and fainted.

Yao Yan repeatedly humiliated Tang San and Shrek before their confrontation with the Imperial Dou Team exposed the group’s weaknesses. Spirit Hall then ambushed Shrek in Suotuo City, leaving Tang San fleeing with Flender, several teachers dead, and Yu Xiaogang captured.

• Yao Yan defeated Xiao Wu and Tang San at the Great Soul Arena, then Shrek’s four students were publicly humiliated after attacking Bu Le and his companions.
• Shrek faced the Imperial Fighting Team, where Tang San’s tactics faltered against Dugu Yan’s poison and Yao Yan’s healing, and Yao Yan defeated Tang San in their one-on-one fight.
• Yao Yan beat Yu Xiaogang and overpowered Yu Tian Heng before Qin Ming arranged for Shrek to join Heaven Dou Royal Academy on its own terms.
• Bibi Dong ordered Spirit Hall to surround Shrek, and Tang Hao fought her above Suotuo City while Flender led the others through the chaos.
• Yu Xiaogang guided the group toward the East City Gate, but Han Feng’s ambush and Ghost Douluo’s pressure left Shrek surrounded and Tang San captured.
• Li Yusong and two other teachers sacrificed themselves to distract Ghost Douluo, allowing Flender to escape with the wounded Tang San as Spirit Hall captured the others.
• Tang Hao attacked Yao Yan near the West City Gate, but Snake Lance Douluo and Bibi Dong diverted his hammer, and Bibi Dong severed his arm and took its Soul Bone.
• The Vice Archbishop reported that Flender had escaped with Tang San and that Yu Xiaogang had been captured, so Bibi Dong ordered Yu Xiaogang released and headed for the West City Gate.

Yao Yan rejects Bibi Dong’s offer but gains Xiao Ying’s affection, while Shrek’s arrival at Heaven Dou Royal Academy brings its conflicts with Yao Yan and the royal court into the open. The arc ends with Yao Yan beating Yu Tian Heng and Yu Xiaogang in public as Long Qiuer’s uncle threatens Gu Rong.

• Bibi Dong discovered Yao Yan had written the book about her and Yu Xiaogang, then broke down after seeing evidence of Yu Xiaogang’s betrayal.
• Yao Yan refused Bibi Dong’s offer to become Holy Son and proposed ways to defend the Spirit Hall Empire from Hidden Weapons and public opposition.
• Bibi Dong awakened Xiao Ying, who stayed with her, while Yao Yan gave Long Qiuer and Snake Lance Douluo rare herbs and techniques that strengthened them.
• Tang Hao found Ah Yin’s Blue Silver Grass withered and a note saying she had been taken with her Soul Bone, then set out to protect Tang San and conceal Xiao Wu’s identity.
• Shrek’s group clashed with Xue Beng at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, and Dugu Bo exposed Xiao Wu as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast before Tang Hao intervened.
• Qian Renxue admitted to Yao Yan that she had replaced Xue Qinghe and planned to seize the Heaven Dou Empire, and Yao Yan promised to stay by her side.
