Background / History

Qi Dian began as a disciple of Linjiang Gate, a local Jiang City sect. He initially looked down on Yue Wen as a rogue cultivator, but was captured by an evil cultivator shortly after making a grand entrance against him. Yue Wen removed the sealing needles, killed the enemy, and saved Qi Dian's life. Ashamed of his prejudice, Qi Dian apologized and provided Linjiang Gate Visualization Diagrams as repayment. 10 11 12

The gap between Yue Wen's strength and his own left Qi Dian deeply discouraged. He briefly questioned his talent and future, but ultimately chose to train harder and represent Jiang City at the Youth Cultivator Convention. 14

While investigating the disappearance of Lin Qiusheng, Qi Dian sought Yue Wen's help after his master forbade him from pursuing the dangerous case and his fellow disciples refused to assist. The investigation exposed the Pudu Research Institute's human experiments. Qi Dian delayed the institute's Gang Realm director with an intimidating display despite being badly outmatched, allowing Zhao Xing'er and Lin Qiusheng to escape. 93 97
