Snow Mountain Enlightenment

The African Continent, even before the Great Nirvana Era when modern civilization was at its peak, was a symbol of the wild and primitive; human development never truly left a mark here.

After the Great Nirvana Era, the few sparks of civilization on this continent were swiftly extinguished by mutated beasts, returning the land to a world ruled by the laws of nature, where beasts roamed in packs and the strong preyed upon the weak.

The current standoff between humanity and the monsters is the result of an agreement between Hong, Thunder God, and numerous King Level Monsters; after all, humanity is, in truth, the weaker side.

In a one-on-one fight, there is no monster capable of contending with Hong, and even those two Emperor Level Monsters in the ocean can only barely hold their own due to the oceanic environment. However, no matter how strong they are, there are only two of them, and the number of human council members is far lower than the number of King Level Monsters, so this agreement was a forced necessity.

One of the terms of the agreement is that Hong and Thunder God cannot hunt King Level Monsters on a large scale, and in return, the King Level Monsters cannot attack human Base Cities.

This does not mean that human council members cannot fight King Level Monsters; the core of this agreement is merely to restrain Hong and Thunder God. As long as all other council members do not mobilize en masse, some skirmishes or even kills are permissible.

The Flame Lion King was one of the earliest King Level Monsters born during the Great Nirvana Era. It is quite famous among King Level Monsters, and its strength is terrifying, equivalent to the Speaker level of the War God Palace. The capital of the country where it resides was breached under its leadership, and another reason for its notoriety is its cruelty.

It loves to eat humans. After breaching the capital, it led its subordinate monsters to devour humans on a massive scale, nearly wiping out the entire population of the country.

The reason for this is that before the Great Nirvana Era, its species was attacked by poachers. Almost everyone except it was killed, and it was captured by poachers to be kept as a pet, which is how it narrowly escaped death.

It was only because of the RR Virus pandemic, which led to social chaos, that it had the opportunity to escape.

As usual, after patrolling its territory, it slept lazily under a large tree. Seven or eight meters long and five meters tall, even while lying on the ground, it looked like a small hill.

Suddenly, its eyes turned sharp.

Following its gaze, a Smart Fighter flew slowly from the horizon, arriving in an instant before stopping not far above the Flame Lion King. The cabin door opened, and Bai Yue stepped out.

Watching the human emerge, the Flame Lion King climbed to its feet, pacing forward while keeping its eyes locked on the opponent, killing intent permeating the air.

Without any exchange, it moved. Stepping through the void, it flew toward Bai Yue in an instant, its right claw instantly covered in a layer of flame as it slammed down. This strike was heavy and powerful, coated in flames capable of melting metal and stone. If an ordinary council member were to take this hit head-on, even wearing a Black God Set would be useless; they would perish instantly.

However, it was facing Bai Yue. As he unleashed his Primordial Staff techniques, the shadow of the staff collided with the claw, and the Flame Lion King was instantly smashed back into the earth.

Its massive body hitting the ground felt like a small earthquake; a large crater was smashed into the impact site, and it slid for dozens of meters before coming to a stop.

Though it looked disheveled, it had not actually sustained any substantial damage.

Standing up again, it tilted its head and let out a low roar. The flames on its body grew more intense, instantly covering its entire frame, and the weeds around it were ignited. Clearly, its fury had been stirred.

"Having just broken through to Planet Third Order, I might as well use you, beast, to practice!" Bai Yue said.

Without waiting for the Flame Lion King to continue its assault, he raised his long staff and smashed it down with a boom. The Lion King nimbly jumped away.

The attack landed on the ground like a meteorite striking the earth, sending soil flying and shockwaves rippling outward.

The Flame Lion King, having dodged, gathered its momentum and charged. Bai Yue held his staff horizontally across his chest, colliding with the Lion King's head. He was instantly pushed back, crashing into the tree where the Lion King had just been sleeping, shattering it instantly.

"You beast truly has some strength." Having said that, he no longer held back. He activated his special ability, and the gravity acting upon the Flame Lion King instantly increased, pinning it to the spot.

In a flash, the long staff reached the Flame Lion King's head, and the skull of the beast visibly caved in.

Hovering in mid-air, Bai Yue did not continue his attack, as that last strike had already destroyed the Flame Lion King's brain. Below, after struggling for a moment, the flames on the Flame Lion King's body gradually extinguished, and soon it stopped moving.

This brief skirmish consumed nothing for Bai Yue; aside from the final strike which utilized Dark Force, the first two attacks were merely casual gestures.

This was the second month of his travels. After processing the Spirit of Plants and Trees he had harvested on Fog Island, he returned to Australia to continue his journey.

Over the past month or so, he had first traveled around Australia, visiting the ruins of the world-famous Sydney Opera House, and then went to the Great Barrier Reef and Ayers Rock.

He saw the ruins of the magnificent structures created by humanity, and he saw the uncanny workmanship of nature. The scenery along the way allowed him to gradually let go of the anxiety in his heart, focusing his body and mind entirely on the journey.

Ever since he broke through the Mystery of the Womb and awakened the memories of his past life, he had been constantly improving his strength, not daring to slacken for even a moment, keeping himself in a state of constant busyness, like a taut bowstring.

Coming out this time, he actually carried a bit of utilitarianism, hoping to take a step further and comprehend his own domain through his travels and by fighting various monsters along the way.

But clearly, that had no effect.

The tension in his heart made every place he visited feel like a mission; he came in a hurry and left in a hurry.
