Background / History
Grand ruled the Great Earth God Realm as its Earth Overlord. When Black—Hermes' Blood Sea Clone—was recognized as a Destruction Sovereign God, Grand accepted him as nominally part of the Great Earth God Realm and confirmed Chongxuan Continent as Black's territory. He nevertheless remained wary of Black's unclear loyalties between Hell and the Earth God Realm. 100
During the dispute over the Abyss Heart, Grand chose not to act despite discussing the treasure with his subordinates. He judged that attempting to seize it could draw intervention from other Sovereigns without guaranteeing success. 118
Grand secretly possessed a Water Element Clone in addition to his Earth Overlord clone. He had missed the opportunity to merge Sovereign Sparks, however, and would not openly violate the rules upheld by the Rule Overlords. 141
After learning that the Four Divine Beasts had mobilized near the Abyss, Grand led three Earth-type Sovereign Gods into Spatial Turbulence to search for Wot's Water Element Mid-level Sovereign Spark. His decision was driven in part by resentment toward the Four Divine Beasts, particularly their leader Leding. 141
Grand later seized the Supreme God Appraisal that appeared after the Plane War, though no Supreme God Token was found with it. This made him the target of rumors and demands from other Sovereigns. 147 148 He was subsequently confronted by Lightning Overlord Hulley, who demanded the Appraisal and Tokens; Grand denied possessing the Token and prepared to fight with his war hammers. 148 By the time Hermes refined the Earth High-level Sovereign Spark, Grand had fallen. 149
Appearance
Grand had an imposing divine-beast physique and wore segmented armor connected by fine chains, designed to remain intact as his body expanded in battle. 148
- His body emitted a dazzling silver glow when facing Hulley. 148
- A massive silver monster phantom manifested behind him during combat. 148
- He wielded a heavy long-handled war hammer in each hand. 148
Abilities & Skills
Earth Overlord Authority
As the Earth Overlord, Grand commanded the Great Earth God Realm and maintained an exclusive divine temple on Pebble Continent. The surrounding region contained elemental lifeforms and powerful ferocious beasts. 141
- His territory included the Flame Frost Grotto, a creation-era site with exceptionally concentrated earth-element energy. 141
- Flame Frost Grotto also contained water- and fire-attribute ferocious beasts and Grotto Guards with material attacks approaching commander level. 141
- The Grotto Guards could not exist outside the grotto. 141
Divine Beast Transformation
Grand could enlarge his already formidable body and manifest a silver monster phantom while confronting Hulley. 148
- His armor expanded with him, its linked plates preserving his defense. 148
- He was willing to directly challenge Hulley despite Hulley's additional Earth Lower Sovereign Spark. 148
Water Element Clone
Grand secretly possessed a Water Element Clone alongside his Earth Overlord clone. 141
- This second clone was unknown to most other Earth-element Sovereigns. 141
- The Rule Overlords were aware of it. 141
