When Inspector Andor opened his eyes again, he found himself trapped in a cold iron chair. His hands were cuffed behind the backrest, and each foot was tied to one of the chair legs.
What was going on? Wasn't my body... melted?
And where was this?
He looked around and immediately felt a chill crawl down his spine—the room was spotless, with white walls, white floors, and white lights overhead. It was so clean that it did not seem like a place meant for people. What made him physically uncomfortable were the instruments scattered around the room: syringes of every kind, forceps, scalpels, and strange control consoles connected to bundles of wires.
Andor took a deep breath and tried to break free with his superhuman strength. But no matter how hard he gritted his teeth and strained, the metal cuffs behind him did not budge.
"Don't waste your strength." A cold female voice suddenly came from behind him. "Those cuffs are made of Super Titanium Alloy. They can withstand three hundred tons of force. They're more than enough to restrain a cyborg."
Andor's heart skipped a beat!
There was someone behind him?
And he had not sensed her at all.
"What are you going to do to me?" he asked, feigning calm. Since they had not killed him, that meant he still had some value to them.
The woman slowly walked around to stand in front of him—and Andor immediately remembered who she was. Before the surveillance system had gone down, the cameras had captured three people breaking into the headquarters building. She had been one of them. Blue-purple hair, explosives packed all over her body, the one who had blown up the front entrance... Though she had not appeared on the fifty-fifth floor afterward, Andor still remembered her clearly.
