All dead?

Liu Shuyue frowned and immediately hurried toward the direction the beggar had indicated.

Before she had even run two li, she heard the clanging of weapons and the chaotic shouts of people in the distance. Such sounds were clearly abnormal within the city, so she directly took out a Wind Riding Talisman and rode the wind into the sky.

Jiufeng City below instantly came into full view.

She did indeed see a large manor in the northwest. There were at least a dozen buildings within its walls, complete with gardens, ponds, and stables—fitting for the status of the Liu family. Yet the manor gates were packed with constables, blocking off half the street so thoroughly that not even water could pass through.
