Flying on the wind

Apart from Marlena and Milton, Chen Xuan brought the remaining twenty-two people back to the restaurant on the third floor of the Main Store. He divided them into six groups of four or five and settled them into the private dining rooms. Each room had running water and a toilet, and with the tables removed, there was plenty of space. Even sleeping on the floor wouldn't feel cramped.

Everyone knew this mission was fraught with danger. Having somewhere sheltered from the wind to sleep along the way was good enough; the private rooms far exceeded their expectations.

As long as they had food every day, they said they could stay here for a year without a problem.

Chen Xuan returned to the Branch Store's entrance and boarded the helicopter with Lin Qing. Liu Shuyue stayed behind to seal the doors. Once the store's doors closed, the Ability Store would be cut off from this world, and the building's interior would revert to its former dilapidated state.

Chen Xuan turned around and tossed two helmets to the passengers in the back, gesturing for them to put them on as he had.

"Your Excellency, may I ask who this lady is..." Milton couldn't help asking.

"A navigator I hired. She'll take us east."

This point in time was already close to the Age of Discovery, and navigators were important figures aboard ships, responsible for calculating headings and planning routes.

Lin Qing deftly flipped the switches on the control panel, checking the aircraft's condition. Then she gave Chen Xuan a thumbs-up. "Everything's normal. Ready for takeoff anytime."

Chen Xuan flicked his index finger forward. The meaning was clear.

Lin Qing started the engine.

With the engine's shuddering rumble, the rotor overhead began to turn slowly.

Both the baron and the witch jumped in
