Sudden Change (Two-in-One)

Before long, the proprietress, who had gone to the back courtyard to teach people how to make Fenglong clothes, came back with small, measured steps.

She looked at the tourists darting all over her shop. The corners of her mouth curled without a hint of warmth, and she said quietly, "Those choosing Duanfang clothes, come inside."

Her voice was so soft that only the Deductionists, with their sharp ears and exceptional senses, could hear her. Half the group immediately filed through the wooden door behind the shop's screen and into the back courtyard.

Yu Xing had finished looking over the clothes and was leaning idly against the counter. He glanced at those who remained.

He, Zhang Yu, and Mo were there. Of the dozen or so others, the only ones he'd had much contact with were Meng Dao and Lan Wu. For some reason, Lan Wu hadn't gone with Medusa to choose Duanfang clothes. Instead, he'd been left behind to choose Yueyu clothes.

Maybe it was because he really was so young.

Lan Wu had been standing behind Medusa the whole time. Whenever people looked over, they could only notice Medusa, who was dazzlingly beautiful. Even though Lan Wu was handsome too, he somehow seemed to fade into the background.

Now that Medusa had gone to the back courtyard, Yu Xing finally had time to pay attention to Lan Wu. He realized Lan Wu was even younger than he'd imagined. On closer inspection, he looked like he'd only just started college.

Away from Medusa for a moment, the composure on Lan Wu's face faded a little, replaced by a hint of curiosity. He looked up at the red robes hanging on the wall, seemingly lost in thought.
