Beneath the cover of night, a tall, slender figure made his way along the shadows beneath the lights of the shops lining the street.
The gleaming scissors, their sharp edges glinting coldly, were concealed by his nearly silent footsteps.
The Flower-Seeker made his way back to the tailor shop. Seeing the deserted nighttime streets, he felt a sense of inevitability.

Even these scissors had been made for the sole purpose of cutting down the "flower."
Because Lingren's hatred for Hua Subai was in a class of its own.
The Flower-Seeker's gentle face was expressionless. He returned to the tailor shop and went straight through the front door.
The woman in the red dress wasn't outside. Presumably, she'd kept her promise and stayed in the back courtyard.
He opened the door to the courtyard, and sure enough, there she was.
"Hmm?" The woman sat on an empty chair, propping her chin on one hand
