Chapter 782: Which Emotions Does This Ugly Mugshot Convey About the Author?
"You're the manager of this game city, and this entire building belongs to you?" Gu Mian finally understood why Slaughter had asked him to come here for help.
And why Crazy Building Manager had no choice but to help.
Slaughter had dropped his own ticking time bomb right into Crazy Game City. Crazy Building Manager would certainly do everything in his power to stop that bomb from going off inside the city.
Gu Mian looked up at the ceiling. "If a building this big blew up, the damage would be pretty extensive, wouldn't it?"
Crazy Building Manager's face visibly reddened. Clearly, he wasn't embarrassed; his blood was rushing to his head as he thought about something unpleasant.
"Before yesterday, I didn't even know that... that Slaughter guy! Fine, we knew of each other, but that was all. We'd never met or spoken before!"
Really?
Gu Mian wondered silently. When Slaughter had introduced Crazy Building Manager, he'd said, "I have a friend over in Crazy Game City."
Looks like "friend" was a title Slaughter had bestowed on him on the spot.
Crazy Building Manager was still rambling:
"Honestly, the NPCs in the game city aren't on familiar terms with those Upper Class people. Even though I'd heard Slaughter was one of the more normal Upper Class people...
"So when he called me yesterday, I was surprised. The Upper Class sometimes call to place orders with our game city, but they always contact the shop owners directly. So when he called my photo studio yesterday, I knew something was off.
"I'd considered every possibility except that he'd dump you—this hot potato—on me. And you're an upgraded one, to boot!"
Wherever Gu Mian went, chaos and wailing ghosts had always followed.
