Gu Mian's ultimate destination was Joyful Heaven Capital anyway. He could look for Slaughter along the way when he got there.
The Upper Class locator was quite useful, so Gu Mian decided to keep him by his side.
But to make things seem a little more reasonable, Gu Mian decided to "persuade" the Upper Class member to join him.
"What's your name?" Gu Mian asked before they set off.
"How dare you... Ah, valiant hero, my name is Ryley. For my lowly name to come from the lips of a noble hero, I'm so damn... This is truly an honor!"
Ryley struggled to curse Gu Mian's family, but the noble radiance surrounding Gu Mian blinded him, and he was utterly captivated.
"Good, Ryley." Gu Mian patted him on the shoulder, satisfied. "I can tell you're actually a kindhearted, helpful person. You must have felt awful when you used to enslave the lower-class people alongside everyone else."
Ryley looked furious. He clearly wanted to argue, but the words that came out of his mouth were nothing like what he had in mind. "The great hero truly sees everything! When I saw those lower-class people being beaten and enslaved, my heart bled. I wished so much that this could be a world where everyone was equal, without anyone being higher or lower than anyone else!"
As he said this, Ryley raised a hand and wiped away a couple of nonexistent tears. In truth, there wasn't a trace of moisture in his eyes. They were practically spitting fire, yet his mouth kept opening and closing against his will. "It wasn't until you appeared, great hero, that I saw hope. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you would be this world's savior!"
