Slaughter fell silent.
Only after a long while did he speak again. "Joyful Heaven Capital has more than seventy thousand Upper Class now."
"Seventy-eight thousand six hundred and ninety-two," Gu Mian said. That was the figure the Upper Class Search Engine had given him.
"So your people each took on about two thousand Upper Class."
Gu Mian fell silent too.
He knew this was all part of the script the Evil God had written, but it really was a little too unreasonable.
Reasonable or not, that was beside the point for now.
Gu Mian looked at Slaughter. "In your original script, this is about where the story ends, right?"
Slaughter nodded. "The hero leads the Lower Class to defeat the evil Upper Class, and from then on, everyone lives happily ever after. The story ends amid laughter and cheers."
The sound of fireworks and firecrackers still rang outside, and the Lower Class were celebrating in a way that could certainly be called laughter and cheers.
But why hadn't the ending arrived yet?
"This ending..." Slaughter glanced at the door to the conference hall behind him. The sounds of celebration seeped in through the gap. "It's the ending we've always longed for but never managed to reach... We've probably had this kind of ending plenty
