Who Isn't a Smiling Young Man?

That would explain the ability Xu Xingcheng had gained in the underground cavern. It might have been left there by the forgotten fourth person.

But if that person had left behind their ability, they must have already perished.

Xu Xingcheng looked a little pale, but still managed to smile. "I guess that's possible."

He hadn't even dropped his "smiling young man" persona.

After smiling, his expression darkened again. "Actually, I've always wondered what that thing in the cavern was, too. The first time I went there, it wasn't a statue. It was a huge, writhing mass of flesh and blood."

That made it sound even more like a person, Gu Mian thought. Like someone had been reduced to a lump of meat.

Still, the problems in Paradise World mostly came down to the conflict between the Upper Class and the lower classes. Putting that aside, Paradise World wasn't very supernatural and was relatively safe. There were pitifully few ghosts there.

The dungeons in that world weren't like other dungeons, where players had to flee for their lives from ghosts. They just had to play little games with the Upper Class.

All in all, Paradise World was actually pretty safe. The most supernatural things in that world were probably the monsters in the Forbidden Zone.

So when Xu Xingcheng suddenly brought up something as sanity-shattering as "a writhing mass of flesh and blood," Gu Mian felt it didn't fit with Paradise World at all.

Louis, who had come from Paradise World, was clearly concerned about what had happened there. "A mass of flesh and blood?"

Xu Xingcheng
