Jing continued reading and soon found the name Chu Changge had mentioned—the erased name. It was not far from hers, so that person had probably entered the instance around the same time as her.
She also noticed something unusual: the mysterious person's "Reason for Enrollment" field was blank.
Who was this person? She recalled every player who had entered the instance at the same time as her, but none of them stood out.
Still puzzled, Jing continued reading. To her surprise, the mysterious person appeared again just one page later.
Though the name had been blurred out, the outline of the handwriting showed it belonged to the same person as on the previous page.
She quickly flipped farther back, and sure enough, the name appeared many more times.
At the very end, the erased name appeared again on the last line of the final page, directly beneath the nickname "Fatty surnamed Wang."
Jing froze at the sight. She had not expected this strange person to show up so many times in the register.
After a few seconds of stunned silence, she could not help asking, "Leaving a name here means someone entered the instance, right? If this name keeps appearing, does that mean he came in many times?"
Chu Changge nodded. "He was here almost the entire time."
Jing thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Nearly all the players who entered at the same time as me are dead. The few who are still alive never disappeared and reappeared. Maybe this isn't a player's name. It could be a ghost, or maybe an NPC."
She held the register out to Chu Changge, but he did not take it. He merely raised his head and stared at her.
His gaze made Jing somewhat uncomfortable. "What's the problem?"
