After the Shanhe Sheji Diagram failed to take him out of the Cangyuan Realm, Ning Wangshu realized a mysterious Ancient Mirror had blocked Yaoli’s ascension and might prevent anyone from leaving. He found himself in a world likely among the Thirty-Three Heavens and spotted a group of immortals fleeing pursuers, but held back rather than risk getting caught in their conflict.

• Ning Wangshu recalled how the Ancient Mirror’s phantom image had clashed with the Shanhe Sheji Diagram, brought him to this world, and stopped Yaoli from ascending.
• Ning Wangshu concluded that the Cangyuan Realm might now prevent both ascension and escape, and that he could not use the Shanhe Sheji Diagram to bring Qingzhu, Ruoxuan, Xiao Yan, and the others there.
