You dead monster, die for your daddy! Kilini, finally angered, activated the biochemical agent within him.
He instantly became a different person, his body filled with power. He unleashed brute force, punch after punch.
He was confident he could take down this monster, but he was destined to be disappointed.
The Stone Monster sent him flying with a single punch, then grabbed him and tossed him into the air, over and over.
It was only then that Kilini realized the gap between himself and the monster. His subordinates had been right.
He had been toyed with by this monster the entire time. It was all over. Everyone he brought with him had been killed by it.
After a few more exchanges, Kilini fell from the air again, unable to get up this time.
Not a single part of his body was intact. Blood flowed ceaselessly. In agony, he stared at the Stone Monster with a ferocious look.
Steward Qin and the others returned to Qin Manor only to realize they had been tricked.
They immediately turned back. When they arrived at the entrance of Ling Yun Villa again, nothing seemed to have happened.
Before they could react, they heard the sounds of fighting nearby. Thinking it was the National Security Bureau and the Dragon Group intercepting Crimson, they rushed over to help.
When they arrived, however, they saw a Stone Monster stepping on a person, with many corpses lying around. The air was foul.
The National Security Bureau agents came out upon seeing Steward Qin and his group. The Dragon Group also emerged. A crowd gathered, preparing to go closer.
"Be careful, everyone. We don't know if it's friend or foe yet. Don't provoke it!" Zhou Jie warned everyone.
"We know," everyone replied in unison.
"Where did this monster come from? And it killed the Bloody Mercenaries?" Steward Qin asked.
"We're not sure. It just appeared suddenly."
"Look, it's looking at us," a young man from the Dragon Group said nervously.
The National Security Bureau agents were ready to attack at any moment, prepared to strike if the situation turned bad.
"Wait, don't get tense. Don't attack it. Are you tired of living?" Zhou Jie knew this monster was in the Tianren Realm. A single breath from it could injure everyone present.
The Stone Monster simply stared at them, unmoving. Being watched like that made them uneasy.
The standoff lasted for a few minutes. The stones on the Stone Monster's head slowly began to fall off, piece by piece, from top to bottom. Finally, it crumbled into a pile of rubble.
This sight made their hearts pound. It wasn't until the stones had turned to dust that they relaxed.
What happened? Why did the monster shatter? It must have used up all its strength fighting Kilini. It had no power left to fight them.
"Zhou Jie, you're too cautious," someone from the National Security Bureau said, yawning.
"If our captain hadn't stopped you, you'd all be dead," a young man from the Dragon Group said indignantly on behalf of his captain.
"Haha, ridiculous. That monster was strong, but there are five of us," several people from the National Security Bureau said dismissively.
"I won't say more. Here, take this strength detector. Remember to return it to me. This thing cost me a year's worth of mission points."
The leader of the National Security Bureau group took it and looked, his expression changing. "How is this possible? How could it have that kind of strength?"
"What's its strength? Is it really 2S?"
"No... it's... it's 5S." His scalp tingled, and his hand holding the detector trembled.
"What?"
Such strength was only possessed by elders of Sects and the Dragon Group.
The others, unaware of the details, were shocked. Thinking back now, they felt a chill of fear, like they had just walked back from the brink of death.
With so many people dead, the cleanup naturally fell to the Dragon Group. In less than an hour and a half, the scene was cleared.
After dinner, Ling Yun brought out a pile of fruit from the kitchen. These weren't ordinary fruits; they had grown for years in a place rich with Spiritual Energy and were incredibly delicious.
"Son, where did you buy such delicious fruit? Remember to buy more next time!"
"Smelly cousin, I agree! Where did you buy it? Go buy more tomorrow!"
"Daddy, I can't eat anymore."
"Ling Yun, this fruit is a business opportunity!" Chen Li's eyes lit up. Once the hotel opened, these fruits could be marketed as high-end.
"Don't think about it. I bought these from a rural classmate. There aren't that many available."
"Sister Beibei, are you going back already?" The little one had finally found a playmate and didn't want Beibei to leave so soon.
"Yes, I have to go back. Mom will worry." Beibei also felt a connection with Qianqian and got along well with her.
"Remember to come play with me tomorrow," the little one said reluctantly.
Chen Li was also leaving. Ling Yun instructed her not to worry about the cost and to renovate according to the design plans. She could call him if she encountered any trouble.
He gave her three to four pounds of fruit. She initially refused.
But Ling Yun said it was for her employees and reminded her to visit her parents that night. The fruit was especially good for the elderly. Chen Li hadn't seen her parents in a long time, even though they lived in Jiangbei.
Chen Li drove away, driving a four-wheeled vehicle for the first time, directly to her parents' house. Ling Yun cautioned her to be careful on the road.
Steward Qin came to pick up Qin Lan. It was a sensitive time, and who knew if Crimson was still around.
"Little sister Qianqian, I'm going back. I'll come see you with Mom tomorrow."
"Mhm, I can go find you too."
"Mommy, Daddy said these fruits are for you." Ling Yun felt his daughter had set him up. He had wanted Qin Lan to take some fruit, but not all of it, just a portion.
Ling Yun rubbed his nose. "Yeah, take them all. I guess you have a big family."
"Then I won't be polite," she said, packing them all up. Steward Qin watched, thinking, Second Miss, is this really necessary? We have plenty of fruit at home.
In Jiangbei City's Xingfu Residential Area, Chen Li parked her Audi downstairs. Many acquaintances looked on with envy, sighing that the Chen family's fortunes had finally turned for the better.
"Dad, Mom, I'm home." Chen Li's nose felt a little sore. She hadn't been able to repay her parents much since she started working.
"Lili, why are you back? Did something happen at work? Tell Mommy."
Seeing Chen Li's red eyes, Mother Chen immediately assumed her daughter was having trouble at work.
"Yeah, Lili, if work is too tough, just quit. Dad and I still have some money, we can help you start a small business." Father Chen also thought his daughter must have been wronged.
"No, it's not that, Dad, Mom. My job is great, and my boss is very good to me. He even got me a car today. You don't need to worry," she said, placing all the fruit on the coffee table.
"Daughter, you can't lie to us," Father Chen said, not entirely convinced. What kind of boss gives an employee a car? In his eyes, it was a car!
"It's true, Dad, I'm not lying to you. The car is downstairs. My boss is my college classmate. He plans to open a hotel and invited me to be the manager. It won't be long before we don't have to live in this place anymore," Chen Li told them truthfully.
Seeing that her parents didn't quite believe her, Chen Li immediately recounted her chance encounter with Ling Yun and his achievements. Only then did Father and Mother Chen relax, fearing their daughter had been deceived.
