Hufflepuff's dormitory.
Vinson Wright and Cedric had been assigned to the same dormitory.
Vinson Wright had already put away his things. He glanced at Cedric, who was lying on his bed, still struggling to keep his eyes wide open and stay awake.
The honest boy had wanted to wait for Vinson to come back.
"You should go to sleep first."
Vinson Wright looked at the exhausted Cedric and seriously reminded him, "Make sure you cover yourself with the blanket so you don't catch cold. It'll snow tonight, and the weather will be a little chilly..."
"It's still autumn..."
Cedric forced out a sentence.
"Yeah, I remembered wrong."
Vinson smiled indifferently.
Vinson did not argue with Cedric. He simply waited until his roommate closed his eyes and fell asleep before quietly leaving the dormitory.
The night was rather long.
After leaving the dormitory, Vinson did not head straight to Hagrid's hut. Instead, he first went to the kitchen on the lowest level, looking for the House-elves who lived there.
"Is anyone on duty?"
"Mr. Wright?"
Hearing someone arrive, a House-elf's head suddenly poked out from beneath a table. It replied cautiously, "We're still preparing a late-night snack for you, Mr. Wright. Is there anything special you would like us to do?"
"Thank you."
Vinson Wright shook his head and said softly, "It might get very cold tonight. Could you help me light the Hufflepuff fireplace?"
"Will it get cold?"
"It will soon."
Vinson Wright calmly stated the facts.
Although the House-elves did not quite understand what Vinson meant, they still agreed to his request and immediately went to light the Hufflepuff fireplace.
Hogwarts was extremely quiet at night.
Vinson Wright walked step by step toward the castle entrance.
No one noticed that, high above the clouds, at an altitude of more than ten thousand meters, a huge phoenix covered in deep-blue ice crystals was soaring through the night sky!
"Anivia, you can come down now."
Vinson Wright stood by the bridge outside Hogwarts Castle and quietly summoned his pet. His voice was barely audible. "The night is so long, and I haven't slept yet... There's no need for everyone to go to bed so early either, right?"
The Ice Crystal Phoenix soaring through the sky suddenly plunged downward!
As the Ice Crystal Phoenix descended, the moisture in the sky rapidly condensed, and strings of crystalline snowflakes began drifting down in profusion!
The temperature in the air immediately dropped!
By the time the Ice Crystal Phoenix appeared in Vinson Wright's view, a thick layer of white snow had already piled up across Hogwarts Castle.
The entire castle had been dyed pure white by the ice and snow.
Many students, still deep in their dreams, shivered and wrapped their blankets tightly around themselves.
After the Prefects from the other Houses were jolted awake by the cold, they had no idea what was happening. All they could do was hurry out of bed and light the fireplaces in their dormitories.
The school staff began checking the situation.
Apart from Hufflepuff, everyone else at Hogwarts had been woken by the cold.
When Dumbledore was frozen awake from his sleep, it took him only a few seconds to remember why the temperature had suddenly dropped and snow had begun falling in this season. He hurriedly drew his wand and used a Fire Charm to light the fireplace.
Dumbledore draped a blanket over himself and sat beside the fireplace to warm himself. As he roasted by the fire, he muttered at the person who had caused the trouble, "What a troublesome little fellow..."
However.
Dumbledore would never have imagined it.
The sudden heavy snowfall was only the beginning of this night.
"Did you bring everything?"
Vinson Wright reached out and took the items brought by the Ice Bird. Inside were the prepared ingredients for the Polyjuice Potion that Old Barty Crouch had sent over. All the materials had already been processed.
They only needed to be steamed and boiled briefly.
The materials were all placed inside a small cauldron.
"Incendio."
A ball of flame quietly rose from Vinson's palm.
The materials in the cauldron were steamed and boiled by the flames, quickly beginning to bubble.
Making a single Polyjuice Potion was ridiculously easy for Vinson, who had memorized the method for brewing Polyjuice Potion three hundred times.
This Polyjuice Potion was meant to permanently transform someone into a particular person. Therefore, as the potion was nearing completion, Vinson added a hair he had plucked from a certain little mouse. The potion's color gradually turned brown.
After Vinson poured the Polyjuice Potion he had just made into a small medicine bottle, a surge of magic quietly gathered at his fingertip and fell over the area where he had brewed the potion.
"Scourgify."
All the mess vanished at once.
Even the faint medicinal smell in the air disappeared completely.
A spell meant for destroying evidence was incredibly convenient for simply cleaning up garbage. Even Snape, the Potions professor at Hogwarts, would not be able to detect anything.
"Polyjuice Potion really does taste disgusting..."
Vinson Wright frowned as he put away his small medicine bottle. Then he looked at the Ice Bird flapping its wings beside him, and his mood finally relaxed. "Let's go. We'll go placate Hagrid first, and take a look at the place where you'll be staying in the future."
Throughout Hogwarts School.
The only person who could still be happy during this sudden heavy snowfall was probably the half-blood Giant, Rubeus Hagrid, because his thoughts were not on the weather.
Hagrid had heard from Dumbledore that a new student had raised an animal so rare that even he considered it precious and unusual—an animal even rarer than a phoenix... one that even the Magizoologist Newt Scamander had never recorded!
This matter...
Had truly excited Hagrid!
The half-blood Giant did not have many particular hobbies in life. He simply loved caring for Fantastic Beasts, and could be said to have placed his entire life in the hands of those animals.
Knock, knock, knock...
A series of knocks came from outside the hut.
Hagrid had just lit the fireplace to warm himself. He went over and opened the door, then hurriedly waved Vinson inside to warm up. "Vinson! Come in and warm yourself first. I'll make you a cup of black tea..."
Before he could finish speaking.
Hagrid's gaze caught the deep-blue ice crystals behind Vinson. He could not help walking out of the hut, and that allowed him to see the Ice Crystal Phoenix in its entirety.
It was a giant bird taller than him when standing!

Hagrid gazed at the Ice Crystal Phoenix with an intoxicated expression.
Hagrid was always utterly fascinated by Fantastic Beasts.
Just as Hagrid could not resist reaching out to touch its wings, Vinson Wright stopped him. "If you don't want it to turn you into an ice sculpture, you'd better not do that..."
"All right, all right..."
Hagrid nodded rapidly, rubbing his palms together excitedly. "Dumbledore told me you might bring a rare Ice Bird pet. I never imagined it would be this beautiful..."
After saying that, Hagrid glanced at Hogwarts Castle, which had been swallowed by a world of ice and snow. Unable to hold back, he whispered question after question. "Hey, Vinson, what exactly is it? Did it bring this snowfall? Mr. Scamander's book mentioned that there's a Thunderbird in the Americas that can change the weather. Is your pet called a Snow Bird?"
Hagrid spoke very quietly...
Because he subconsciously believed that asking about its species might anger the Ice Bird.
Vinson Wright gave him a strange look, slowly shook his head, and extended his palm toward his pet.
The enormous Ice Bird slowly lowered its head and stretched out its sharp beak. It affectionately rubbed against Vinson's palm, and anyone could see how close it was to Vinson.
"Its name is Anivia."
Vinson stroked his Ice Bird as he slowly turned his head. "It's an Ice Crystal Phoenix."
The unveiling is tomorrow!
