Cultivation System

A Soul Master's strength is built around a Martial Soul, Soul Power, and Soul Rings. Martial Souls can possess inherent attributes and abilities, while Soul Rings grant specialized Soul Skills after successful absorption. 1 20

Soul Ring absorption is normally governed by compatibility between the Martial Soul, the ring's energy, and the cultivator's physical limits. Lor Diarra describes Martial Souls and Soul Rings as ordinarily complementary, making direct collapse of a ring during absorption highly abnormal. 14

Absorption

A Soul Ring must establish a stable connection with the Martial Soul's origin. Once integrated, it can raise Soul Power and grant a Soul Skill. 2 18

• Chen Li's Rumble-Rumble Fruit initially rejects ordinary rings, causing even compatible Hundred-year and Thousand-year rings to shatter and dissipate. 2 5 15

Martial Soul Abilities

A Martial Soul may provide inherent powers independent of Soul Rings. Chen Li's Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit grants lightning-based abilities from awakening. 1

• Lightning generation and manipulation — Produces and shapes blue-white lightning into weapons and attacks, including lightning blades and piercing spears. 1 2 4

Soul Skills

Soul Skills are specialized effects formed when a Soul Ring's rules integrate with a Martial Soul. They are more than ordinary reshaping of elemental power. 20

After Chen Li demonstrates a successfully integrated Thousand-year first ring, Bibi Dong promotes him to the core disciple sequence and grants resources, access permissions, and training opportunities. 22
