Background / History

Lin Yi was among the first named clones after Lin Mo's return from the game world. Lin Mo assigned him responsibility for organizing guard rotations and managing the clone group's immediate activities. 13

He quickly became the principal commander of Lin Mo's clone forces. During the search for a territory site, Lin Mo ordered him to select twenty-nine capable clones, divide them into six scouting teams, and survey the region around Water Curtain Cave. 21 In the campaign against the mountain bandits, Lin Yi led the encirclement of the bandit chief, using numbers, ranged fire, and the clones' poison blood to wear him down. 33

During the Wolf Valley operation, Lin Yi led the advance scouting force and later reported that the wolf pack had been annihilated with minimal losses. This victory enabled Lin Mo to establish Dragon Perch Valley. 41 42 Following the territory's founding, Lin Yi was tasked with sorting the clones into combat and production units. He also spoke on behalf of the original “old brothers,” seeking recognition for the earliest clones who had followed Lin Mo through the stronghold campaigns. 43

Lin Yi directed the defense of Black Wind Stronghold against Zhang Biao's Imperial Soldiers. Working with Taoist Master Xuan Cheng, he used poisoned clay pots, poisoned ballista bolts, and the defenders' fortified position to break the attackers' formation. He subsequently oversaw the organized extraction of supplies from Linshan County and handled the release of captured officials under a fabricated account of a vagrant riot. By exposing County Magistrate Zhou Wenzheng's incriminating ledgers, Lin Yi helped secure the magistrate's silence. 76 90

During the campaign against Pu County, Lin Yi's elite clones destroyed the Earl of Jiang'an's Heart of the Lord, collapsing the Earl's territory and triggering Lord's Backlash against Zhao Hong. 114 Later, Lin Mo entrusted him with three thousand clones and a map to raid the Earl's Mansion's secret vault.
